nah 3rds footy is defintly an important question. bgs will be aggressive this year. stars such as weller will dominate on the forward flank and the little man, jason carli is a modern day craig bradley. he runs runs runs and runs. plus he can kick goals. shouldnt be a side who can compete this year with bgs.

For the Carey 3rds:

the captain will be Cameron Jones and the vice captain will go to either Andrew Cotsis or myself.

We will probably struggle to win games but you know our captain may win us games by himself.
Our dominant full forward will be Andrew Cotsis who is about 6"5 and can kick about 50 metres. So all in all watch out for the Carey 3rds in 2006!

The tradition will continue at mgs this yr with a 3rds team filled with stars on and off the field, will cooper=younger version of barry hall, watch out for it boys

If Scotch College do not take out the prestigious 3rd XVIII Premiership this season it is a joke.
With expereinced 5th XVIII coach over the past 25 or so years, Mr. 'Dougy' Galbraith being given the nod this year to take over coaching duties from Rev. 'The Real Rev' Watson', the boys will be given some first-rate feedback and strategies from the sidelines.
Now onto the squad:
Big Man Chooka, LC, El Segundo- rumoured to be Chris Guccione, the hard hitting serve volleyer will be unstoppable this year. Chook really runs the lines hard and has a lethal right boot that doesn't hook at all.
Homer, Homo, Whipped, Stars, Fabio, Becks- arguably the most arrogant player in school football, let alone the Scotch College 3rd XVIII, let his treatment of one Alison be a statement of the anger he has to take out of unweary opponents this season. Another like Chook who will put his white, or is it gold, boots on the line for the team. He has the honour of being ejected from the most football games in an APS career.
More profiles up soon..

The Scotch College 3rds are a force to reckon with. The quality forward line, with BIG Rob 'Doof Doof' Dauth being a hot favourite to take full forward and in front of him another BIG man Dougal 'I like Tennis Balls' Medley will be the unit at Centre Half Foward. Look out for these two amazing players

Another bloke I'm tipping to dominate in the 3rds competition (if not the 1sts, I hear he's nursing two broken legs) is Byron "Tempy Woo Woo" Smith. He runs the 200m in a blistering 20 flat and has been known to complete the 1500m in under 3 minutes. Silky skills and can rough opposition players up (naturally being a unit).

He'll probably start in the centre, rover and ruck rover positions and we'll most likely be treated to a 2 man on ball unit, that's if he decides he doesn't want to take ruck duties. Mark my words, Cyclone Smith is about to hit 3rds footy.

Cyclone Smith is an average player when the likes of Tom 'I'm wearing my good shirt' Fancke is on the same field as him. Fanckle Danckle is a naturally solid bloke, has one hell of a kick and can run 100m in 9 flat. Fancke is a great footballer, so great that he has manged to attract our favourite little Australian girl Nicci Webster. Fancke is a very aggressive player after all those years of abuse from his housemates Fancke is ready for some solid, hard and bloody angry tackles. This is one bloke i would not want to meet on the Football field.

You're a harsh critic, barradige. Few have been brave enough to label Tom "Why do you wear shoes" Fancke as being merely 'very aggressive'. With constant sledging, mostly in the basic form of, "you're a ****ing ****", he gets under his opponent's skin and from then on, he is relentless in his mental disintegration tactics.

You are right about another thing - all the years at the mercy of his housemates have taught this graduate from the school of hard knocks one thing: never leave your cupboard unlocked. And secondly - have no regrets. Roughing this kid up only leaves him begging for more. Woe is he who is Fancke's direct opponent.

Huge game from the B-Train coming back from a career threatening knee injury, from massive grabs Ottens-like in the goal square to running goals Brent Stanton would be proud of. B-Train has the pace of Davey to match the guns of Buckets Holland, he really is the all round package. We won't be referring to the B-Train again under the 3rd XVIII banner, he will play two's next week with as good a chance of playing ones the following week as Chook making a booty call to East Malvern this weekend (certainty). Chook 'The Gooch' A was a disappointment this week, only wracking up the 14 dream team points but his leadership as The General (Captain) was first-rate and left Smith for dead. As did his stamina. Whipped (Michelle) Boy's form was respectable first-up, his abuse of the umpire was first rate and he collected as many hard ball gets as Aaron Davey (none). He must be commended for coming down to support the Winter Tennis boys who commenced their season in style with the Bonnie/Bono pairing winning their three sets 6-0, 6-1, 6-2. Well done boys!

haileyburys 3rds are a force to be reckoned with. pretty much every rower in the school is in the 3rd eighteen. plus some of the unco athletes and the fat yet skillfull blokes, haileyburys 3rds will be a dominant force this season. playing xavier on haileyburys main oval this week the true colours of haileybury sport will be shown. the bloods will bellow "bowl 'em over" until we fly the flag

I dont think they will be any match for the MGS thirds. They have dominated the competition for a long while and will probably dominate this year too. Last year if i recall correctly, the MGS boys had a percetage of about 300. and over 1000 at the start of the year.

And they thumped Assuption Collage 3rds on the weekend too

Bonnetboy, is a very big coward. He talks the talk but does not actually play the great game, instead is languishing down at WInter Tennis with all his boyfriends. I challenge bonnetboy to actually come to training and get a kick, and stop cutting whopper's lunch with Jess.

Hi Alan.

Ok kid, MGS thirds beat Assumption 3rd's by 11 points, in most people's eyes that isn't a thumping as you put it, and If you did play that game you were probly some hack that didn't get a kick.

It's been an inspiring comback from the B-Train. Players go through many injuries, but his comeback has been nothing short of sensational.

Forget 3rds Bonnetboy, rumours are he is taking on Wesley at 2pm this Saturday!

i am sick of hearing matthew roach's name in the seconds thread, he will b lucky to be thirds rotations and will probaly run the drinks for the yr 7A's team with bryant haslam.

the scotch 3rd XVIII will be up and running this saturday with their 3rds premiership campaign. with the like of mr whippy, chez, the b-train, barracouta no. 1, elsie (or will he play twos) and DUF they will be an extremely competitive side. The only query for the side is the fitness of "superstar champion coach in his own right" turning his skills to running on ball. He's lacking fitness after a serious year long drinking campaign.

Under the guidance of "Dougie", the scotch team will be a formidable force and are a short priced favorite to take out the flag.

The haileybury thirds are a pretty swish outfit, with a few absolute guns playing for them. Tommy Tyrell full forward for them is an absolute machine, if he gets enough of the ball he will average atleast 6 a game.

Haileybury are nothing, the Scotch 4th XVIII almost beat the Keysborough 3rds last year at their home ground. Let's be realistic, it's all about the scotch team.

Don't tell me they get scholarships from 3rds boys???? :D

Tyrell is usless, I would prefer a carbon rod over him. No match for the B-Train.

I've never met the man, but i hear he can handle himself on the football field. Even after a big night out.
