so if we took out all MGS's.. caulfield's... carey's... skevs... pretty much every school in the APS' scholarships, would we all be fighting it out for the wooden spoon?

none of those teams are all dominated schloraship sides derr, and the players they do have arent on full football schloraships there for other things aswell. take a team like brighton no sports schloraships and still give caulfield a run for there money, and teams like haileybury n scotch. yeah 4 or 5 schloraship is okay but anymore then that just destroys aps footy, but im pretty sure there bringing in a new policy stopping teams having more then a certain amount of schloraship players per team

i would debate that teams like brighton dont have scholarships.. how can a year level manage to reap in so many gifted players, did you not hear about whats coming through the ranks in the younger years, the must breed them by the barrel down brighton way

i know for a fact that brighton and haileybury have a stopped sports schloraships not sure about the other teams, i know that schools like that are more welcome to gifted athletes and might chuck them on a academic excellence but still that would only be a minimum of 2 or 3 players.... which would barely do anything in the competition these days

so a general excellence scholarship that every school uses would not relate to sport? a scholarship doesnt have to be a direct link to what they are there for. for all we know you could be on a musical scholarship just so you could sneak into your schools 1s and get passed this future 'law'

alright look obviously not all general excellence are related to sport, yeah i know a schloraship doesnt have to be a direct link. all im saying is wesley in particular have all footy schloraships unless there TAC cup players are all genius's which i highely doubt that considering half of them are aiming for afl and couldnt give a stuff about there end of year results. look dont know what your getting fired up about its just my opinion, i just think teams like wesley are just destroying aps footy due to there extreme domination

Who are the kids at wesley on a scholarship? people from their school deny there being any, but i don't ever remember wesley ever being anything great from yr 7 to 10 for their current yr 12 level.

wes have about 10-11 U18 TAC cup players (3-4 participating in something to do with AIS) and 3-4 U16 TAC squad members, with also a few names not making TAC cup teams such as Dougherty, Pool and O'Brien (who is doing the 'development squad' for Oakleigh).

I'd argue 1 premiership in 30 years doesn't constitute domination of the competition. I'm pretty sure there is already a 'law' in place that is meant to stop the giving of scholarships for purely sporting reasons....obviously this law doesn't apply to the likes of caulfield, carey or geelong grammar though.

Game between Wesley and CGS should be a blinder this week.

Asked who their scholarship kids are, if they have them, not how many Tac players they have...

If you played footy you'd know most of them have been there since yr7...not all but most. I don't see how pointing out the number of tac players can be your argument for them giving scholarships, there's nothing to substantiate it.

me? worked up? ummm i'm sorry i didnt realise pointing out the flaws in your arguments was getting worked up... should i mention that you told poor 44844 to jump off the bolte, to me thats a bit fired up. there is no malice in my posts. i think you should have a look at yourself. If they are dominating the football comp, why dont you and your team stand up against them, and beat them? stop worrying about who has more scholarships, i bet 75% of schools like MGS are on some sort of scholarship

mate not much flaws, and dont know what you mean to have a good look at myself, okay yeah im sure we will give them a run for there money o, 75% is a huge call yeah alright il stop havin a bitch

bloody huge coincidence that they just magically racked up that many quality footy players in year 7, but guess just a lucky year

Aps mate i think its time that you just move on from this forum. Your obviously getting far too worked up and you crossed the line with your suicide comments. Suicide is not a laughing matter.

On another note who cares about scholarships and who does and doesnt have them. They will always be a part of this competition and theres nothing we can do other than play the game

Xavier is clearly the best team in the APS this yearr, even though im a Wesley man, Xavier looked incredible, that William Rioli looks amazing, and with there star player, Tim Golds back this week, they will be impossible to beast.

The pot mate for you to think that you could get away with pretending you are not from Xavier in order to give more credit to your comments was foolish. Better luck next time

Carey beat MGS by a point, but were really the better team except for the first 10 minutes of the last quarter when MGS fought back to get within a goal after Carey lead at 3QT by 4-5 goals.

Caufield 11.9.75 def Wesley 4.9.33

Straight kicking by Wes would've made it a bit more competitive, especially a couple in the last quarter that might have sparked a comeback, but Caufield just better all day.

Wes was down by 20 at 3/4 time.

geelong college looked the better team against xavier in the first half as they took most of their chances and led by 3 goals at half time

but after half time, xavier just ran all over them, won by 4 or 5 goals in the end
