And now he gets input on the new coach. Why are they acting like hes a 3 time superbowl champ and 5 time MVP?
Rather than keep QB who fits a scheme to choose a new HC who fits the scheme, they should trade him for picks, keep building the D and OL, they already have the #3 allowing new HC/GM (who theyd want to stick around for 5 years) to draft their own QB.

I like the idea.I like it a lot. Only issue being the knee injury (and baggage out there about Murray), they aren't going to get as much as they probably want. But taking a hit and moving in a different direction is probably a good idea.

Would be kind of funny if Wilks gets hired by the Panthers while Murray has done his ACL and Kingsbury is fired 10 months into a 4 year extension. The universe making things right for how the Cards treated Wilks.

Cardinals DB Isaiah Simmons told reporters that "moving forward," he will be a defensive back.

Simmons was exclusively a linebacker early in his career, but played 423 snaps at cornerback and safety last season. The Cardinals declined his fifth-year option despite Simmons having arguably his most successful year to date in 2022. He has not consistently been a good run defender, but Simmons offers a lot of versatility and this is likely a good move for him.

The Arizona Republic's Bob McManaman expects the Cardinals to give rookie QB Clayton Tune a chance to start Week 1.

"All anyone knows for sure is with Kyler Murray expected to miss some portion of next season and Colt McCoy being an obvious injury risk, the door could swing open for Tune to experience his own Brock Purdy-type opportunity," writes McManaman. "Considering the offense, the Cardinals wouldn’t have to change much if Tune were left to run the show." Tune ran 4.6 at the Combine, tying for the second-highest RAS behind Colts QB Anthony Richardson, and was a five-year starter at Houston, making him the most pro-ready of this year's quarterbacks. An injured McCoy and journeymen David Blough/Jeff Driskel are all that stand in Tune's way of starting Week 1.

ESPN’s Tisha Thompson reports former Cardinals HC Steve Wilks said under oath that former GM Steve Keim and owner Michael Bidwill forced communication with Keim during his suspension.

Keim was jailed and suspended by the NFL in 2018 after being arrested for a DUI. Wilks testified that Bidwill and Keim gave Wilks a burner cell phone to continue to communicate with Keim during his suspension. Keim left the organization in 2022 to focus on his health. Wilks alleged racial discrimination against the Cardinals after being fired by the organization following one season.

The Cardinals are fully committed to QB Kyler Murray as their franchise quarterback, per HC Jonathan Gannon via @burnsandgambo.

The Cardinals are currently slated to pick 4th in the 2024 NFL Draft and there’s been speculation about Arizona targeting a quarterback with a new regime in place.

However, Gannon reiterated his commitment to Murray as their franchise quarterback.

Gannon appeared on the @burnsandgambo show and was asked about the QB situation.

Is there any doubt in your mind who your quarterback is going to be next season?

"No, there is not,” Gannon replied.

So Kyler is your guy?

"There is no doubt. Number 1 is our franchise quarterback,” Gannon said.

Murray, 26, has thrown for 1,537 pass yards, 9 TDs, and 5 INTs to go along with a 64.7 completion percentage in seven starts this season. He’s also rushed for 211 yards on 39 attempts (5.4 YPC) and 3 rushing TDs.
