Any old Stone Temple Pilot fans will definitely dig these dudes.

Its The Deleo brothers from STP with Filter's old singer Richard Patrick and Ray Luzier, best known for his work in David Lee Roth's band and who is an absolute muthaf*cka on drums (and for those who give a sh*t, its produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin who has done a wicked job)

Picked it up from the states on Ebay as for some stupid reason it aint available anywhere in Oz at the moment but for you kiddies into your d'loading (or your ebay!!) and who like their music rockin' and played bloody well, it'd be well worth your time and effort.

The inevitable comparison will of course be to Velvet Revolver and IMO this sh*ts all over them. Way better guitar playing, the tunes are much better crafted and the playing is top notch.

And to my drumming brothers on here, this cat Luzier is my new flavour of the month. Can seriously play. For sampler, d'load the tune "Goodbye" and check out the outro. Chop fest!:thumbsu:

Agree, loved both Stone Temple Pilots and Filter so I was really looking forward to this. Great debut album, easily the best of the "supergroups". Would be in my top 5 albums for 2006.

Have the album, listened to a few times but not given it the attention it deserves yet. One thing I do know is that Carlos is right, it sh*ts all over Velvet Revolver.
Was a massive fan of STP and also Filter so these two sets of brains getting together was always going to interest me.
The album is quite good(could yet be awesome, if I give it some more listens), and hopefully we'll see a tour soon.

Been to at least 3 record stores to buy it, none of the weak pricks had it. Where did you people get it?????
Ebay dude. Ended up costing more for the shipping than the actual disc! But all up, it was still under $20 and certainly cheaper than trying to order it through any music chain in Australia.

And i did the same thing as you before resorting to ebay. But i've been told that for some stupid reason there is no distribution deal in Oz yet for the album. Baffling.

Good tip, mate. Will check it out....

i read in an interview that the label they are with gives the band 100% control in decisions they wouldnt have with a normal label.

weather this is a factor in them not having a distribution deal in Australia, who knows?

Big fan of the Deleo's, but I just found this album to be really bland. Richard Patrick does nothin' for me.

Contraband had a lot more energy and spark, imo.
