Agreed. He was also allowed to use his run to get into space which I thought he exploited tonight. So glad Simmo has recognized that he is a natural HF/Winger and played him there no thanks to Woosha.

Woosha wanted to simplify the game for him, playing half back isn't necessarily good for building a work rate. Play him for a while longer, perhaps he saves his career perhaps he doesn't.

Maybe I need to watch the game again but I hardly noticed Smith up until his first goal late in the 3rd quarter. Unless I missed something up until that point he still gets a meh vote from me.

He didn't do much.

And yet it was still more then Cripps, and better then i expected. So i'd be happy to give him another week in that role.

for sure Dark Sharks I'm all for giving players a chance to prove their worth so I'd be happy to see him get the rest of the season in that role to find his feet and have a good solid crack and see what he can or cant offer for the future. I certainly wasn't impressed in the slightest at yesterdays effort though and on that game alone I wouldn't have said he was better than Cripps myself but each to their own. Lets see how he goes against Richmond if Simmo doesn't chop him.

Smith's positioning around the ground was very good, ran to all the right places, it's just his teammates didn't always spot him up.

I was glad to see his running rewarded with a couple of over the back goals. Certainly deserves another week or two and has shown in the past if he gets a few weeks at it he can play with confidence.

I was happy with what he did yesterday, good on him should have bought himself a couple weeks i reckon

I thought he had a good year in 2011 was it? Don't know what happened to him after that. But at least he has some experience and can offer something up forward as well. See how he goes.

Ironically the over the top in the goal square I was most pleased with, we usually wouldn't have any one to kick to in that position but he obviously ran hard to provide that option. Did enough to make me interested to see what he can do in the next few weeks. Still think Cripps fit is better atm.

Had an okay game. Needs to find the ball and utilize his pace probably him and Tunbridge the best of the inclusions/fringe players.

Sinclair, Brennan, Wilson, Sheed were hardly impressive.
