Re: Cash leftover?

Spending all you have makes sense IF you are convinced of the value of the most expensive players in your team. I would think that if you believe you can get better value out of cheaper players, then there is no point in wasting the dollars.

ie. I could put Broughton at 524,100 in my side. But if I believed the risk of Ladson could post similar scores for half the price, I would go with him instead. That gives me around 270,000 to spend elsewhere.

Obviously I want some premiums, but if I genuinely believe that cheaper players can offer the same scores, it just makes sense that I will have left over cash. With that cash, I can then use one or two trades to fix up under performing risks over the first couple of weeks, while the other risks justify their selection.

I like this idea especially b4 3rd round price adjustments

Is there such a thing as to many Hawthorn players in your side this year?

For me, I think firstly, Luke Hodge, Rick Ladson and Lance Franklin are certainty's this year.

Then you have Burgoyne who is a 500k player historically, sitting at 380k, in a midfield with Hodge, Mitchell, Sewell, Lewis, Bateman. Those are all workhorses, who are going to give Burger the ball at every oppertunity.

Then you have Mitchell himself. A premium midfielder anyway, but could be the next Dane Swan, Leigh Montagna in a side which will surely go miles up the ladder.

Then you have Cyril Rioli who should play more midfield time this year. As far as SuperCoach forwards go, this is absolute gold.

I could potentially have all 6 sitting in my squad. I have previously, and have traded them out at some point for the sole reason that it looked too Hawthorn top-heavy.

Am I correct that they will affect each other? Or is there room in a side for all of them? :thumbsu:

Re: nab challenge scores?

Not sure, but I think the Herald Sun posted them either last year or the year before the season started..

Re: nab challenge scores?

are there any ways in which we can see NAB Challenge scores? links would be greatly appreciated :thumbsu:

Herald sun will give you a spreadsheet of all supercoach scores for the nab and nab challenge games normally a week before the season starts.

The fantasy freako email should be out this Wednesday that will have all the dream team scores for the week

Its unfortunate we cant access these straight away. Supercoach scores are definitely tallied for the challenge games

Re: Cash leftover?

I've got Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Sandilands, Mitchell, Selwood, Hodge, Goodwin and $15,200 left in the bank. I did ditch Goodes and Goddard though after recent performances left me thinking they are not going to maintain their value over the first few months. Those two just have too much being asked of them. I suspect my $15K will be used to upgrade a trade with one of my spec rookies in about week 4 so I'm happy with the spare cash.

non rookie listed

What is the deal with players fighting for a rookie spot?

I'm interested in getting barlow for this year, but I read somewhere that he is fighting for a rookie spot with Clancee Pierce and De Boer (both of whom played last year and are not really rookies).

Could someone outline this process and tell me when I we will know if Barlow gets the rookie position...

Cheers.

How do you switch multi position players around? Tried to do it with Goddard, but when I put him on the bench and tried to bring him back on, the only options to put on the bench were other defenders.

Goddard is a MID/DEF so you will need another MID/DEF in the midfield* to be able to swap them.

*this is assuming you have Goddard in defence, swap them around if you have him in the midfield.
