Surely someone is coming in. Sutcliffe was already the backline development coach, he shouldn't be doing backs AND mids.

Not the plan right now.

They think LK's role was minimal and that it can easily be absorbed by Sutcliffe. It's ridiculous. You compared the coaching group from 2014 when the Club was serious about contending to now, and it's chalk and cheese.

Who is in the box with Hammer on SANFL game days? Sutcliffe and Jason Williams?

Ports admin whenever we lose any coach, ever.

End of 2014, enter Chris Davies 😈

I think it's more to do with Ken getting more and more stubborn over the years such that having an elite coaching group would be redundant anyway because Ken wouldn't listen to them.

It's why we've seen such a high turnover of assistants and literally zero changes to the gameplan since 2019.

yes, it was a very good coaching line up. and we've replaced with Carr and promoted some development coaches.
2021 and 2024 with different coaching set up ended up with same result! 2022 was shockingly worse

I for one love the fact that we have such a stable coaching group where the flow down of knowledge always ensures we have suitable replacements ready to step in when required.
Bringing in outsiders with different ideas and skill sets would only destabilise us and perhaps mean that we would potentially not meet our goal of playing in finals…….

Same result but perhaps we might’ve been better the last couple years with a similar resourced coaching department.

Voss was the big one, everyone shat on him but I think he was good for us, and would’ve been great for our young midfield group.

I still think he was the obvious succession plan .

I still rate the 2021 coaching team as good as 2014.

We’ve culled dramatically since then. For all the crap guys like Voss and Bassett copped, they were actually good for us in my opinion and sure as hell a lot better than no one or a bloody no name like Luke Kelly

You compare our assistant coaching group to most other clubs and the numbers are less, significantly less in some instances.

The question is why after 4/5 top 4 finishes we aren’t serious about contending? We are pissing away our window.
