Go and watch the VFL game from yesterday - Dow was CRAP as was Setterfield as was LoB - don't kid yourself Dow especially is as weak as pizz.

Concerns we really need to ask ourselves with Teague and Co, to find your answer..

1. Looking at our list, is it good enough to contend?
2. Is our coaching group getting the best out of the group?
3. Are players advancing, getting opportunity to preform at their best?
4. Is Teague's ideals and game plan good enough in big pressure games and finals?
5. Can Carlton afford another year like this year?

All comes down to Q1 if the answer is yes, someone like, if not Clarkson, are where we should be heading..
If no might as well give up and stick the path..

Yes, I'm all for a clean out of assistant coaches..
But you have to remember, they just follow Teague's vision, game plan and ideals..
Hardly 100% their fault, changing them may not change results a great deal..

What ample opportunity? Hired end of 2019, hardly enough time to evaluate. End of 2020 with covid soft cap cuts his hands are tied. Maybe wait till end of 2021 to see what he does when he actually has the chance

Biggest problem is midfield, killed in stoppages.
60 inside 50 against Bulldogs where's the defensive action through the midfield, alot of those entries were deep entries which is Kryptonite to Jones.
Make's life very hard for defence, if opposition keep banging it in.

He was assistant at Carlton before being head coach, so he knew what he was getting...

• End of 2019 when he got the job he could have cleaned out assistants and got who he wanted
• If you remember in 2020 (Covid), we could have got rid of any staff he wanted outside of the soft cap and he elected not to.
• End of 2020 could have cleared out assistants didn't..

I feel Lloyd is as much at fault as Teague is. Lloyd is a liability imo

If you honestly think a senior coach has no say at all in his assistant coaches, then there is no point discussing..

Guarantee if we sack Teague for Clarkson or Lyon.. They will bring their own team.
In fact Lyon is on record saying it..

I honestly believe that Teague was not given the opportunity to bring in new assistant coaches. The decision is Lloyd's.
I'm sure that if we had an experienced coach (Clarkson, Lyon) they would be given more sway to make those sorts of appointments than Teague was given.

Have a look at the above.... where is all the experience. Can we please bring in some assistant coaches with experience at winning clubs.

Barker. Surely time to go. Been here forever. It's stale. Our stoppages are a joke.

Also on stoppages and rucking. I know Matt Kruzer is the ruck coach but he isn't listed above. Actual tap ruck work was never really his speciality. He's a great club man but it's a strange appointment. Think we need to look elsewhere for this one.

Big shake up needed in our assistants
