Plus the Auckland tournaments for women (1st week) and men(2nd week) and the Hong Kong Open for the men in the first. I am sure some exhibitions are also going around, but they are always boring and I am not interested in that—also, no Kooyong Classic.

This all leads to the big one for the summer, the Aussie Open; The first major of the new tennis year.

This United Cup is a hard watch. Feel bad for the Brazilian.

That match was nuts last night.

Kyrgios vs. GMP in Brisbane may have an average rally count of 1.1 shots

16 year old Cruz Hewitt will open his Aussie summer with a first round qualifying match at the Canberra International in around an hour from now. He plays 198th ranked American Brandon Holt who is 10 years his senior and Cruz will be sure to make headlines if he wins today. Would be a great story ahead of his Aussie Open qualifying debut in a fortnight if he is to secure a top 200 win.

Had a 5-2 lead in the first but lost 6 and 1.

Yes, it's a year too early but the kid has some talent.

It did seem overly early.

Thing is, I better get used to it, and so should the players. If the Saudi Masters come into the calender, they either have to start the season earlier, Shift the Aus Open a week or 2 backwards, or remove a bunch of Aussie tournaments. Personally, knowing tennis, it is going to be the first one.

I read that they are planning the Saudi events for February each year. So maybe not?
yeah, I missed that annoucement. That Would make more sense..But Feb is the month a lot of players take a break.

Anyway, Something has to give with this calendar regardless.

They already have the end-of-year champs. The greedy kingdom should be v.happy with that
