Pulled out of the Brisbane International had some injury setback should play in the AO. Your right about Gadecki,Maya Joint on the hand is a much better player by a mile.

Gadecki is okay but she’s top 100 on a best case level. Let’s not pretend Aija is anything more than an inconsistent ball basher without a brain.
31 and injury prone too we need to move past her along with the likes of Saville. Tennis Australia need to put all the resourcers and money into Maya Joint.

Yep and not give wildcards to these 30 year old let’s be real here journey men/women. Give them to the youngsters and hope you find a couple. What’s the point giving Saville types wildcards? We all know at best they win a round or two but are never going to contend

Probably schedule and she’s been very injury prone so preserving her body is paramount. The other girl who played is a genuine doubles player though, Katie is a bit funny as a doubles player.
Also they had already qualified (after her singles they were through) so it mattered little if they won
