Agree on Australian players needing to leave home to train in Europe. Look at how the Russians and other countries leave home at a young age and train in Spain, France and even Germany. The US have college tennis we don't have that either. It is a lot different now and juniors need to get any advantage as they can. I would love Hewitt to leave home and go train in Spain and learn on clay. Develop his game and get away from his parents for a bit.

ADM played junior tennis in Spain before coming back to Australia and is now a top 10 player

Junior soccer players leave Australia all the time to play in europe if they are good enough should be no diffrent with Tennis juniors imo

Same old story for Kokki, its a catch 22, he has to restrict how much tennis he plays but the flow on is his body isn't conditioned. He turns 29 this year so as we keep saying time is running out unfortunately.

He played well last night, it was a great game.

I get why they start the Australian Open on Sunday but that schedule is really one for the real fans. Only 32 matches spread accross all the courts so not a heap to see and the outside courts will be done early.

I think maybe they should just do Rod Laver and MCA on the Sunday for TV purposes.

It’s absolute garbage for anyone with a grounds pass, just taking the piss. What’s the point when you barely schedule any matches and no big names on outside courts?

They are also are charging more for Sunday tickets!
