From the producers end 5.8kg is worth nothing and they wouldn't care about the mule at all but they must get some of this shit through to keep doing it? How many out of a hundred would need to slip through for it to be worth it for them? Just a handful?

Former customs officer here. During our training they informed us that 98% of drug importations by air get through undetected.

Surely most of that 98% would only be for minor amounts that would probably only come under possession rather than intent to supply/distribute?

I wanna be a customs agent when I grow up!!!! Them lot on Border Security make it all look easy as well.
I know they do crap hours (late nights, early mornings etc) but they get paid well. I wonder if they get performance bonuses for detections on top of that (drugs, weapons, wood, plant, food etc)

For a lass of 22 years of age, she has led an eventful life of employment history.

My guess is this isn't the first time she has done this, has gotten away with it before and saw it as easy money. Just happened to be ratted out this time round.

And this mystery man of hers. Surely he would be able to clear all this up. Being a young tourist, she would have taken a minimum of 100 photos of him over the week while he was with her. Just show the cops and he shouldn't be too hard to find....

Where did you hear this? Her bogan sister said she was expecting to pick her up from the airport before the capture (presumably in Adelaide, as she was on local news saying it). This whole shebang is one big cup of FAKE NEWS!
She was detained and arrested attempting to board Flight AV120. An Avianca Airlines flight from Bogota to London. She was NOT heading to Australia with the cocaine.

Just seen the police photo of her handcuffed with the 18 separate packages, individually wrapped.

No way she could think they are headphones/anything else other than drugs lol, they look exactly as you'd expect!!

Overseas working holiday, was apparently off to Europe after this but her family has no money for legal fees..right. Her fiancé is at home in Australia, ain't no way in hell I'd let my fiancé go to Colombia by herself for a "holiday".
Not that's it's really relevant but her Fiancé has just started a new Job so that could have something to do with why he stayed in Adelaide.

This woman was also caught with a large quantity of coke

You know, them hampers would make for a great distribution network...

A hamper of 18 headphones would be right up Chrisco's alley though Shazza may be a little displeased if she receives it by mistake instead of her order of 100L of tomato sauce.

Soler told The AustralianSainsbury’s ticket, which was bought at the lastminute by an unknown party in Hong Kong for a trip from Australia to Bogota via London, was one of several red flags that caused North American agencies to alert Colombian police.

Game over man, game over.

Look at the bat wings in the perp walk photo. They don't make 22 year old personal trainers like they used to....there has been discussion of the cans but they would be two sacks of shit duct taped to a hippo.
