Her form this past two weeks has been deplorable. I don't know what's going on with her. Having said that, she dominated the first two sets and somehow lost the second. But women's tennis is like that sometimes.

Also, Kerber plays a very physical game and is now a year older. Maybe she just doesn't have it in her for much longer.

i thought on that match point, Witthoeft last shot was long. and that 2nd serve was there to be smashed. oh well, we got there.

Finally. That was painful at the end. Her serve is usually extremely dodgy, she still threw in 8 DF, but I thought it held up pretty well.
