Starting the tournament on a Sunday only leads to a thin schedule, which you've mentioned. There was always something exciting about it starting on Monday, but now it feels anti-climatic.
Playing the two Men's SFs on the Friday is another grievance. It was better when it was Thursday night and Friday night and the women's SFs were played on the Thursday afternoon.
