Not really. Amazing how he’s a 12 seed. Such a bland style. His serve and volley gets him through.

Nice to have an all round player getting through rather than a guy purely and simply serve and that’s it. Don’t want too many seeds losing in the first round or two becomes a nightmare with scheduling

"Cant see my self playing singles again"

Sounds like Nick is retiring from playing in slams probably be happy just to play in atp tours and collect money lols
What a wasted talent.

Probably best prospect since Hewitt. Done **** all with it

Is he though? Feel like he’s an easy beat for any top 10. Backhand is really short.

If he had 1/4 of the drive ADM has he’d have won a bucket of Slams. Unfortunately one doesn’t have weapons in ADM and one is a head-case in Kyrigos

Ruud’s side of the draw is piss.

Someone we don’t expect will get through that 1/4

Wouldn’t be that shocked on form and ai hate tipping the bloke as he’s prone to a flop but FAA gets through that Ruud section

100%.

He know he can win ATP 1000s, which he has done and banked money

Honestly think he plays some exhibition matches but goes on the doubles circuit now. Probably does some commentary and spends time with his long term girlfriend.

Wasted talent though he’ll look back and be one of the biggest “what ifs” in tennis

Opelka vs Novak 3rd round

Commentator made a good point Opelka beat Novak best of 3 where margin for error is slimmer for guys that serve big different in slams where it's best of 5 can he last 5 sets

Hopefully they put that bloke in the sun to cook in round 2, I hate that draw.

A shame with his talents if he had the professionalism and mindset of ADM he could have won a couple of slams

Probably more to be honest could have dominated the US Open and surely even as good as Novak has been gets a Wimbledon in there too. It’s a shame he couldn’t give a stuff but in the end people have different priorities in life I just hope post career he doesn’t regret it

He didn't win a slam because he wasn't good enough to win a slam and only made a Grand Slam final because he got a forfeit.
He has trick shots and a serve but he can't win enough rallies.

That's just an excuse he uses. He was too afraid to get a coach and get superfit in case it didn't work out for him.
Let's face it, he's a loser with a smart mouth.

Don’t disagree he has an insane amount of talent but he frankly couldn’t be bothered and refused to get a coach. All of these hurt him in terms of contending only made one really as half the field was ineligible due to the ruling in the UK banning players.

Revisionist history. He may be a petulant little shit, with poor training standards and squandered talent but he abosultely earnt that run and finals spot in 2022.

It was helped massively by a withdrawal AND half the field not being allowed to compete, sure he played well, but what did the muppet do afterwards- nothing. Couldn't be bothered off the court more concerned with wearing basketball tops than training. If he had a quarter of the drive that some lesser on pure talent players had, he'd have contended a lot more!
