I saw Roger Rasheed's interview with Shelton. Roger talked about Monfils' age and that he could be his dad, but Shelton thought he was referring to race. It was awkward.

Interviewers should make an effort to prepare their questions beforehand.
Sometimes feels the interviewers ask questions just to grab headlines

I get that they're trying to appease to the average grand slam audience who's at best a casual tennis watcher but the questions that usually get asked make me cringe.

Hewitt will always be around De Minaur.

That's why he's never going to be more than a QF at best when he had a good draw like he did. He's lucky he didn't draw someone like Rublev did

Genuinely felt Rasheed was talking more about the age gap and how Monfils could be his father, not a race thing.

Maybe but honestly on what planet is that even a remotely decent question to ask. Talk about Svitolina sure, but seriously our interviewers just suck at answering questions. Just keep it about tennis it's not actually that hard really, or at least it shouldn't be. Personal life should be off limits

Again an innacurate take by you.

Please don't believe anything this person posts on face value

Modern humans have 1-2% Neanderthal DNA in their genomes, primarily among non-African populations, due to interbreeding about 50,000–60,000 years ago after humans migrated out of Africa. African populations generally lack direct Neanderthal ancestry but may have small amounts from later migrations and gene flow.

Good to see your wasted your time watching something else and failed to comprehend most of it. Would've learned something if you actually watch Sinner play.
I knew about the African part but didn't want to give an in depth phd on a tennis forum.
What did you learn from watching the match? That the Fanatics are tools ?
It's 1 to 4% in our DNA not 1 to 2% so posters please don't get your info from this poster who watched the most boring match ever seen in a grand slam.

The on court interviews are always cringey . There's no reason to have them at all.

Yep to be honest they just are asking for trouble I struggle to see the point of them

I don't think Hewitt is the main problem but I do think it is time for a change. It can't hurt.

He's never going to beat the best in the game. His best bet is he gets a good draw and everything full's into place. He needed Rune to take out Sinner and carry his injury into the quarter final this year. His chances are totally reliant on others.

He is a main problem though- he has no idea how to coach players in the current age. As someone stated before Murray would be the perfect coach, I'd also look at Goran Ivanisovic as an option now he's not coaching Rybakina. Needs to completely change the way he hits the ball and get way more depth

He genuinely was.

It's laughable that Shelton has come out criticising the interviews. I personally don't like them, generally mute them or switch it over, but they're really just a lame way of getting more player interactions. And I think most of the on-court interviews are a bit of harmless banter.

If Shelton doesn't like them or doesn't like doing them, fine. But to attribute malice or some sort of disrespect to the players is totally missing the mark imo.

Who coaches Popyrin?

He did well last year, winning a masters and has a bigger game than de minaur

Emerson Jones has come from a set down to win her singles quarter final 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. Looks like she may have to come straight back on court for her doubles semi final. 🥴

De Minaur’s draw was piss. Let’s not beat around the bush.

Vukic had Korda then Draper, who he could’ve beaten.

Highly doubt De Minaur would’ve won v Korda.

Then Karen flops the round prior to facing ADM. the quarter was always ending one way whatever ADM can do Sinner does but 5 times as good. There’s nothing ADM can hurt Sinner with

Still think Murray would be perfect grinder type with weapons so he can maybe get towards a Murray type. No reason he can’t hit deeper towards lines

I am going to fire a shot back at the players with regards to the post match on court interviews.

Why do they always suck up to the crowd? "You guys were great", "Couldn't have done it without your support", and this half the time is after they have beaten the actual person the crowd was barracking for! Does Craig Tiley put it in their contract to suck up to the crowd to keep his turnstiles ticking over? Super cringe.

Did you miss what happened to Collins when she did the opposite? Most players don't want that extra attention.
