You couldn't tell from how they treated the queen a few matches ago?

Tennis Kiss GIF by WTA
Collins has never even won a grand slam, she's a nobody compared to tennis and AO royalty in Djokovic.

Yes he did.
Yep, lack of emotion was odd. He's struggled in previous matches and is THIRTY ****ING SEVEN you couch plebs.

The guy has 10 titles here and is booed off because he's got an injury? **** some of those in the crowd and glad Zverev called them out.

Does anyone think a guy that has made a big point of reaching 25 slam titles in '25 would pull out of a semi final that he was playing well in and at a venue he plays very well at 'just cos'?

Nobody has defended the crowd booing.

It’s the same injury he’s dealt with last two matches he’d know whether he could have got through it. Couldn’t.

Oh well it’s smart was never winning and didn’t lose points this year.
Without at least an MTO to try and mitigate and fight through it? Just not a fan of the mindset that's "If Alcaraz won the second set or if Zverev won the first set, I'll pull out"

I reckon he gets booed at other Grand Slams too, Djokovic has had a love/hate with crowds for most of his career.

I doubt anyone would've booed Sinner if he had done the same thing.

So if Joker won that tie breaker would of still retired I doubt it, he should of least push through 2-3 more games, doesn’t look good particularly to the spectators who paid a lot of money to watch the game

Yeah he still gets his full semi payout but fans dont get a refund i dont think. Semi tickets arent cheap as well

He isn’t going to wreck his body to a corpse. He is injured he tried to play a set, and see how it felt

Or maybe he’s actually quite injured and thinks playing will only make things worse? You’ve got zero idea on what the prognoses of the injury is and the severity. I highly doubt someone as motivated as Novak retires simply because.

That was nothing to do with posters on here, just calling it out.
It's not a secret that Novak has a history of appearing or actually being injured & then comes out like Superman & wins. We can all have a joke about that.

Whether it's sometimes a tactic, mind games, a legit injury & he's just great at recovering during matches... perhaps it's a bit of all of that at different times.

Everyone, including the commentators, his opponent, even his wife were all surprised he retired at the end of the tiebreaker. I'm surprised he didn't call for a MTO first.

Regardless, no one is justifying any player being booed. It's ugly.

Probably. He probably thought that he had max three sets. No point continuing if you can't finish. And that first set went for ****ing ages; 1 hour and 20 minutes is very long, sometimes that's two sets..

I think Zevrev knew this, played slow long points, rather than short points.

He won’t be booed at the French or Wimbledon as he has Murray there. Almost glad those pretentious twats had to pay $1500 to watch a set lol
