What a joy it was watching Fonseca last night. This kid is the real deal. Those FH’s are just insane. If you’re going to watch any of it, check out the first set TB. I mean that’s as flawless as you’re going to get, while going all out. Remarkable.

First saw him just under 2 years ago, and the improvements are big. His serve has really beefed up, his rally tolerance improved, moving a little more dynamic. Small steps over the past 2 years working on his flaws.

Assuming he continues to work hard, stays fit, honestly look out. He’s going to be a star. Between him, Carlos, Sinner and Mensik, we’ve got a fun decade coming up. Maybe Prizmic and Fils too.
My concern is the over exertion reminds me of Alcaraz when he was the same age.
Similar styles too. Just hope he has a break after this event

Would love to know Woody’s career earnings. Wouldn’t be that much more then Kokkinakis back then, given the money you get for Round 2
Total career earnings
Todd Woodbridge - $10,078,820 (1988-2005)
Thanasi Kokkinakis - $4,476,164 (2013-present)

Inflation adjusted career earnings
Todd Woodbridge - $16,273,271
Thanasi Kokkinakis - $4,476,164

Think this is why most of the Australians lose, they are too inconsistent, not like other countries where they win in either 3 or 2 sets…Alex is our only hope but even when he gets deep into slams he loses
100% agree

What is the problem you reckon other countries seem to produce qaulity players all the time for Australia it's dime a dozen and maybe be lucky we get one like we did with Barty

Geez. You wouldn't think Kokkinakis was up one set to love if you read this comment and hadn't seen the score.
