Only watched that last set, but no way is Aiava up to the physical standards required for top level professional tennis.
I know, I know, the same could have been said for Serena Williams, but clearly this girl is not a Serena Williams level of talent.

She played well over her ranking. Her body type is not suited to long matches although she could improve.
I get that the Yanks can be annoying at their open, but ours are utterly cringe.
Just so embarrassing seeing tools scream out during ball tosses and before second serves.
There's an art form to subtle crowd oooing after a fault at a big moment, but outright whistling and screaming is disgusting. And its happening more and more when Aussies are playing (to their opponents).
I'm not one of these "Aussies are always the worst" - just read my comments in the cricket forums, but just watching the tennis, it's shithouse.

Holy **** that Danielle Collins end and interview was ****in nuts, Jesus Christ. great to see.
It's a very American thing. You'll even see UFC fighters do it, and I have no doubt it applies to a lot of their sports/athletes.
Personally I don't mind the brash and sometimes over the top theatrics of athletes, as long as they wear it when they lose (and most do, to be fair).
Doesn’t excuse some of the increasing fringes of crowd behaviour trying to influence serves and general play we see at the Aus Open.
Not just when Aussies are playing either.

Destanee has had a couple of good games and will continue to improve - good on her- played some smart tennis, but got a bit tired, not surprisingly.

She’s fat. Andreescu can lately get on the court and she’s nowhere near as heavy.
if she looks that big at her young age it won’t get much better. I saw some article about ‘no one looks like me in tennis.’ yeah, because it’s a sport for the tall and lithe. the only genuinely great short arse was Agassi and he’s just about the greatest and best to watch there ever was.
Destanee also played qualies to get in. I've just read a couple of articles on her and its great to see her back on court. I hope she reaches out to Jelena for some support.
When Destanee was younger she was thin, she might be on antidepressants which will put on weight but who knows.
