Had a huge chance that US Open to win.
He has all the ability, but Nick doesn't have a paucity of desire.Nick's apathy and downplaying his want to win a slam is an act to take pressure off himself to a degree, but it's undeniable that he doesn't train and prepare as well as other top players.
A lot of ifs and buts. Players like Hewitt and Phillopousis and miles ahead of him.Had a huge chance that US Open to win.
Lost to Karen Khachanov. Would have been fav against Ruud in the semi. Would have met Carlos in the final, which would have been very tough BUT Carlos was still unproven at slam level.
His ability is overated imo. He's only made 4 grand slam quarter finals, someone with similar ability like Gael Monfils had made 10.He has all the ability, but Nick doesn't have a paucity of desire.
LOL MEDVEDEV!!!
Smashing that racquet into the net.
That has to happen at least once every tournament lolHoping this goes 5 and delays the night session
Would be a suck it to Tiley and co
Good that Perricard lost.
Easy run for Fritz then until Sinner beats him comfortably.
Pretty good win by Monfils...He's on a rollMonfils did us a solid there
He's not going to be remembered for his tennis ability that's for sure. His ability is overated imo. He's only made 4 grand slam quarter finals, someone with similar ability like Gael Monfils had made 10.
Kyrgious hits too many unforced errors . Trick shots aren't a measure of ability.
I'm not sure if it was a resilient win or he's lucky to still be kicking. those double faults are unforgivable. he's always liked being a defensive player and fairly cautious waiting for something to happen, but I'm not sure how potent that tactic is when you don't have the ability to play those nuts shots every few games and remind your opponent not to sleep. thought it was one of those matches that didn't show any edge either player actually has.
5 sets against a bloke ranked 414 rofl you make me laugh Meddy
Monfils turned pro a few months after Sampras retiredSampras would have still been playing when Monfiles started his career
