32 games (1/3 would be 42)
Only 2/8 of the top seeds.
5/21 Aussies, but none of the top 5 interests

They're at least starting games at 11, so perhaps less post midnight finishes.
The issue has always been when they start the night sessions. If they were legit, they would start them at 6:30pm, on the dot. Not 7pm with 10 mins of filler beforehand

The only change I see with time regarding the 2 main courts is changing the day session start from 12 to 11:30...Just refuse to budge with the night session

Yeah, it is understandable.

Tv rules the roost, with the 6pm news being the king.

Still, don't come up with a bullcrap reason why you have added an extra day. Just be honest. People are not dumb

I got an email the other day saying it's only $15 for opening week and I thought they must have slashed the price of ground passes, then I realised it was for the qualiies... which used to be free!

I can't find any value in going at all any more. Will be watching from the air conditioned comfort of my lounge room once again this year.
Glad i am not the only one miffed at this, seems like another short term $$$ grab from organisers while crowds are good, but should they lull, could really hurt in the long term.

For all of the afl's fault's, there maintaining affordable ticket prices is definitely a great strategy.

Home and away prices are OK but the AFL does their price gouging when it comes to finals.

Wanted to watch Sabalenka tonight ticket would have cost me about $150 that's ridiculous they need to make tennis tickets way more affordable

Finals i can understand paying more but the first 4 rounds should be cheap imo

First round of rod laver used to be circa $70-80, crowd looks good but wondering how many general punters can afford it?!

apparently still 55k through the gates today so clearly a lot of demand still....

I was surprised to hear AO were charging people to attend qualifying rounds. Used to be free.

Ticket prices are ridiculous now especially ground passes.

I am heading along today. MCA tickets. I might give the Tomljanovic game a miss and watch something else. Her best days are behind days her.

Krueger is an awesome talent, I'd watch her ball striking, if there is a weird run to a semi, she wouldn't surprise me, not saying she'd beat a Sabalenka but she'd be the sort of girl that could go for a deep run

It's a massive money grab and the ticket prices are out of control, but people keep turning up in their droves so can we really blame them?

A ground pass for the 1st round games on a Monday & Tuesday used to be so much fun, games on all the outside courts, so much to choose from. Now you'll be lucky to be able to get a seat anywhere to watch a 1st round singles game with them spread out over 3 days.

Actually better off getting a ground pass for Wednesday/Thursday, at least then you've got doubles going on as well.

Two good wins today and the ones that have lost so far were hardly expected to be world beaters. Not sure what you are on about but Botic will get a hiding.

Saville and Walton both lost yesterday. Both were 1 set away from winning, but gave the next 2 or 3 to their opponents.

Almost looked like Tomljanovic was heading that direction too.

Who knows about Botic? He beat Alcaraz at the US Open last year. Every chance to upset again.
