Bullshit, Dutton is nothing like Trump, copying my ass!!!
He's obviously not as bad as trump, but he's using similar tactics. Spends half his time getting people worked up about Australia day, immigrants, and how all of ALP are anti Semites. He knows how to stoke culture wars and that's pretty much all he does now. That's how trump came to power - it works.

  • new lame catch phrase
  • minister for government efficiency (at least no billionaire running this one)

If you can't see parallel tactics creeping in then you're blind. Even ALP starting to use shitty tactics.

That's a really really really hard one after having watched 3 years of Albanese blowing taxpayers money on personal crusades like his "baby" THE VOICE might be a clue...$430 million or the like I believe!!

Well I never - coal power stations over 4 decades old and coming to their end of life and what does Mr Potato Head offer - nuclear energy which will come on stream from 2040+ (at the earliest).

Yeh, because the Coalition have never wasted money? Well hello, Jobkeeper rorts for starters.

Both do it so at least we acknowledge the ALP have issues but you never can admit it for the Coalition.

So just a coincidence Trump created the same portfolio Bicks.

Even you are not that gullible!

Btw, the budget has been balanced for a while Bicks. It's almost like you are oblivious to understanding finances.

Yeah like you any chance of voting for a Dutton LNP Government even though you claim to be a centrist which is laughable...You're right I'm not that gullible to believe you'd vote for a Dutton LNP Government no matter how bad your lefty Albo Government's policies were.

How many times do I need to remind you I won't vote for conservatives as I'm a moderate.

Only told you less than a day ago.

Do you have a memory problem?

Have you deleted your post where you said you vote for Party with the best policies?

If not you best get to it if you want any sort of credibility.

I have not deleted posts Bicks.

I have made in absolutely clear to anyone who can read English that I'm not a conservative as I don't agree with most of their policies.

I'm in the centre of politics... but you don't understand what this means... but because the conservatives are dominating the moderates, I don't relate to Duttonites attempting their best Trumpism wirh divisive talk & idiotic nuclear.

Likely i will vote for neither major party.

Once again you laugh Bicks.

Happy for any moderator to comment on whether I have deleted a post on this topic.

Given you can't recall what I posted yesterday, it's amusing you think I have deleted a post from long ago.

Obviously this is all a distraction to having a meaning political discussion...

Our renewables aficionados won't like reading this when the facts and figures for the World's "green" revolution are laid bare

What does the article say Bicks?

Renewables are increasing worldwide year on year, so not sure how this can be denied.

Yes, non-renewable sources will be needed for a while yet, but their % reliance is decreasing... which most people understand is a good thing for the environment.

A while LOL

Maybe read the article Lefty.

Need signing up to, so won't be reading it then.

Why are you so anti-renewables?

Would have thought someone living in the country area would be concerned for our environment.

Any ways, renewables will continue to increase which is the important thing... just a question of the rate.

Article authored by Bjorn Lomborg

Several of Lomborg's articles, in newspapers such as The Wall Street Journal and The Daily Telegraph, have been checked by Climate Feedback, a worldwide network of scientists who assess the credibility of influential climate change media coverage. The Climate Feedback reviewers assessed that the scientific credibility of the articles ranged between "low" and "very low". The Climate Feedback reviewers came to the conclusion that in one case, Lomborg "practices cherry picking"; in a second case, he "had reached his conclusions through cherry-picking from a small subset of the evidence, misrepresenting the results of existing studies, and relying on flawed reasoning"; in a third case, "[his] article [is in] blatant disagreement with available, while the author does not offer adequate evidence to support his statements"; and in a fourth case, "The author, Bjorn Lomborg, cherry-picks this specific piece of research and uses it in support of a broad argument against the value of climate policy. He also misrepresents the Paris Agreement to downplay its potential to curb future climate change."

What a surprise that Bicks found a cherry picking article against renewables...

I still don't understand why someone has so much hate for improving the environment.

Well go through his numbers he's laid out there and tell me where he's wrong because sure as hell he'll have heavily researched the article before going to press

Edit

And you be sure to let me know when Australians power bills actually go down with the advent of renewables as Bowen and the ALP keeping on tell us will happen?

I have given you plenty of articles, including from Australia, Europe, India & China... all showing a real increase in renewables & the trend will only be a further increase.

it's really happening Bicks despite your desperate denials.

Why do you refuse to explain why you are so anti-renewables & helping the environment?

Surely you must have shares in fossil fuel industry & you keep posting so much nonsense that surely you can't even really believe.

You obviously gloss over the fact that countries like Britian and even the State of California's electricity prices have increased threefold since they went down the 100% renewables path.

Similar is happening in Australia with pensioners and low income families that can no longer afford to put the heater on in freezingly cold days or to even think of turning on the air conditioner on stinking hot days if they have one of course and still afford essentials like food on the table, rent etc.
Things that those better off like you and me take for granted. That obviously doesn't come into your renewables equation.
