I think there is a pretty big difference between acting depressed and pretending you have depression

I've had mental health issues too but what Ray did wouldn't bother me at all, it's not like he claimed to have depression and anxiety.

He just acted sad, hung out in the hammock and said his head and heart wasn't in the game, he never played the mental health card.

I don't think anyone else there was offended by it, even JLP found it amusing with Feras trying to claim a best supporting actor award.

I think that’s very much playing the mental health card just because he didn’t outright say he was having mental health issues doesn’t mean it wasn’t heavily implied.

I’m the first to say lie cheat and steal your way to victory but I’m also the first to say you have to read the audience about how far you can take it and if you leave a bitter jury then you ****ed up.

Only time will tell whether he has or not so my personal opinion on the matter doesn’t mean a thing and it appears that the group doesn’t take issue with it but it’s pretty ****ing risky and I wouldn’t be happy with it personally.

I agree. I think it's fair game to lie, cheat and steal to victory. The game itself is designed for eventual betrayals and alliance flipping. Most contestants are aware of that and normally it's water off a ducks back.

Though there are lines which if crossed can make the other contestants bitter. Rays tactic may or may not be one of those. The other contestants were genuinely worried for Rays well being while faking being depressed.

While most other tactics doesn't play on people's emotions, Ray's tactic did by playing on the other contestants sympathy and empathy for him. Which made the thing feel dirty to me.

That advantage should have been called the suicide advantage. Outrageous that it worked. Surely 1 of the OG Titans had to think about the possiblity of them getting all the votes on Raymond and Feras using his idol for him.

I actually dont mind the advantage and dont think you need to go down the route Ray did necessarily. In a 7v4, 6v4 or 5v4 split where the opposition cant split votes it can still be played as a type of weakened idol

I don't blame Ray FWIW, I think being out there for a month wouldn't make it hard leaning out into crap.

Blame the producers though.

I wouldn't have as much issue with it if they didn't have Scott pulling the pin only a few episodes earlier for legit reasons.

That would've earned respect.

Na, just passing on the opportunity for someone to do something similar. Just don't put in full stop.

Producers have nothing to take blame for... it was good TV and majority of people liked it

The advantage in isolation is decent. The only consequences anyone has to worry about is Ray and I guess Feras with whether they lose any jury votes

If neither Kirby or Feras are sitting at the end then Mark would be a legitimate chance. Even if he hasn't made any significant moves to this point he is still seen as a pretty decent player and appears to be liked well enough. Plus there is still plenty of game to go and presumably he would have had a say in Kirby and Feras not being there.

Caroline has probably had the strongest game of the others but unfortunately it was mainly pre merge and she has looked rattled when it matters. Doesnt appear to be that well liked either.

If I was ranking winner potential at the moment id have it something like

For mine, it would be:

Caroline

Rhi / Ray / Alex

I don't particularly like Caroline however she was the alpha dog in the first phase. Everything Mark tried to do, Caroline was able to counter. Kitty is above Mark simply because she has been more effective than him. Rhi and Ray have basically been sidekicks the whole way and Alex has been on the wrong side most of the game.
