Apparantly Jodhi has a bad case of stage fright and hasn't shown up for the final tonight.

Last year, she caused a bit of a ruckus by bagging the shit out of most of the judges.

Charlotte looks absolutely ridiculous in that dress - it's way too tight, she can barely move below her neck. She's got great cans, but they look stupid in that dress.

First 10 minutes, they basically all conceded that they'd all picked Alyce to win regardless last year.

Crowd reaction was best for Sam as well. ____ she has a good body.

Alex is still ugly.

Kamila has lost too much weight.

Jodhi Mears had a very public meltdown when she hosted the live show last year. It was car crash t.v, could not take your eyes off it. Reasonable when reading an autocue, absolute rubbish when you have to wing it.

Quite torn on who should have won. Looking over it though, Demelza certainly looked the goods. Shit person and shit attitude though.

And I think the whole country minus the judges thought Sam was the winner.

Yes that would explain why Alyce announced the winner with absolutely no enthusiasm or sense of occasion or timing. Of course it could also be explained by the incontrovertible fact that Alyce is a vapid bore lacking a skerrick of personality or talent.

And I agree, Sam was far and away the best, but the reality TV producers obviously prevailed over and above any lingering credibility the judges may have once had, ensuring one of the memorable bitches would win. May as well get Omarosa from The Apprentice on the next series.

Sam was gorgeous and got a lot better as it went on, but I honestly never saw her on Vogue. She's got a real commercial beauty and this show thinks it's higher than than commercial fashion. (See Jamie's all too soon departure)

Mind you I can't see either of the 2 finalists on there either. Alex had a good general look and knowledge of the building but there was nothing striking about her face, and Demelza is just a pretty face. (I also think she looked better with the curves). Demelza's got beautiful eyes etc but I don't think she's high fashion.

The show was an official joke when Caris got ditched.

Just out of curiousity, how many times did we hear that Steph was just too young in the final last year... how old's this year's winner again?

A much better season finale than last year, a few cringeworthy moments however much fewer than last year. The actual reading of the winner was a bit poor IMO. Alice looked really thin and unhealthy, but I guess that’s nothing new! The fact that she won and is very successful just goes to show how stuffed up the modeling industry is. Why didn’t she at least pause when reading out the winner? Kind of ruined the moment. Loved her comment about being in Paris too, I think that was pretty obvious Alyce…

As for the winner, I can’t believe Damelza won but good on her. She clearly outperformed Alex during the series and therefore deserved the win, but it still strikes me as a surprise. I felt for sure Alex would win. Maybe they knew last year's was rigged and they had to even it up? Just feels as though the decision was a bit forced. If Alex wasn't going to win, Sam should have been in the final 2.

The fact that the final vote came down to the public vote felt a bit strange, especially given how farcical the public vote was last year. Last year the result was already decided and they even failed to tell us how the public vote even impacted on the voting process. So the fact that it came down to the viewers decision was a bit out of the blue.

Why didn’t Jodhi vote? Considering she is the face of the show and was the host it seems very strange she didn’t even have a say in the final proceedings. I mean she was obviously going to vote Damelza, maybe they wanted to make it tied going to the viewers vote?

I loved the crowd reactions to the contestants. It sounded as though everyone thought this Emma girl was just some randomly plucked chick from the audience, and not a very good looking one too. Kamila looks very thin, but then again she did during the first episode too. She is stunning and could be even better if she just puts on a bit of weight, even those involved in the industry would surely feel the same. Samantha clearly the audiences favourite and good to see her get some reward for being so. She really should have won, not only the best looking girl by a mile but also has a very versatile model appearance.

A good series, still a farce though by the way they gifted Alex a spot in the final whereas Samantha or even Caris deserved to be there instead.

Yeah, but she is more FHM than Vogue, Commercial is very low brow sort of stuff, they want the model to be high fashion.

Yes, although I agree that commercial should be good, for this show and its delusions of grandeur, it's not good enough. For them "commercial" means "will sell bikinis" which Sam and Jamie could do easily, but they think they want someone who can prounce down a Paris catwalk in haute couture, which they believe that commercial bikini models can't do.

100 % agree with you on everything you said Drummond. Summed it up pretty well imo. (Just didnt post all of it! )

As for Jodhi not getting a vote, if she piked out on the hosting duties at the last minute, imo, she doesnt even deserve to get a vote. (Anyway, she carried D to the final two, so she at least did something). Pretty weak effort to not host the final... very weak... She should not host the show next year. End of story.

Second, who cares if she wasn't there, it wasn't about her, in the end it may have worked for the show, last year she f***ed up a few too many times.

Now the right one out of the 2 won, I loved Sam out of the top 5, those legs are awesome.

My fave all series was Belinda, there's just something about her.

Over all loved this series just as much as last years.
