Has anyone else noticed that the forum has started auto resizing pics even though most arent a problem?? I think its crap and unneccessay on this board, most of the people on here are responsible enough to resize their designs.

It resized my Doggies/France KOTW entry, now it looks like crap, it has to be the size I posted it at to see all the detail so that it looks like
Ganty - that home guernsey would be up there in one of the best designs I've seen on this board. Big call I know, but I love it :thumbsu:

Bulldogs could use it as a home.
Is there a way our board could be exempt from this function. It has been in effect less then a day and it is already giving me the shits.

BTW Ive found the topic that suggests it in the Suggestions board on here, and I think if we could get enough people on here to show their unhappy with it they might change it back just for our board.

In another forum, they let you post full size pictures with the tags, and auto-resized ones with the [TIMG] tags.

Brilliant, IMO

I would ask some questions about it (complain to get it fixed) but I dont really have any power in terms of getting anything done because Im not a paid member. If someone else that is really unhappy with the current auto re-sizing of already re-sized pics could do it and I will back them up and Im sure there are others on here that will aswell. Hopefully Chief has a soft spot for this board because he used to be the mod didnt he and will try and sort it out??

Also winston, is the forum that has those two options for posting pics (one code that doesnt auto re-size and one that does) the same programing as the BF forum??

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing resizing images according to their width. However, I would find it preferable if the height of images wasn't limited. This way the framing of a page on a forum wouldn't be dramatically altered by an exceptionally wide image but the detail could be retained in a single image (as requested in most competitions) by stacking multiple jumpers on top of each other in one tall narrow single image.

They both use vBulletin, but I can't find the specific version number for BigFooty.

The other forum, however, is "Powered by vBulletin® Version 3.6.10"

Bad idea. Has messed up image threads.
Please revert back to how it was.
Not likely to happen.

Just updating you guys on this. As you can see its not gonna go back to the way it was, and I wouldnt be holding my breath there will be any alternative to post a link to the original size, other then right click and open in new tab/window.

"Not likely to happen" - what kind of weak explanation is that? At least say "Unfortunately we can't do it, due to [insert short version here]".
