Little pet project for me this summer.
What's a decent, average time for a dead flat 2.5km run that I can benchmark against myself.

AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
I'm 185 cm, 102 kg, 18 year old.
I regularaly do 2.4 km runs as a benchmark for my job. Results were:
10.10 - first time
9.30 - heavy training 2 weeks
8.50 - heavy training 9 weeks
9.10 - had stopped heavy training for about 3 weeks
9.50 - light training, boozing increasing
10.30 - light training, boozing increasing further
10.50 - light training, boozing peaking at unhealthy levels
so as you can see it doesn't take much to train up to a fairly good standard but it also doesn't take alot for results to drop either. These results were recorded over about a 10 month period with the run being conducted every couple of months.
Moral of the story, KEEP UP THE TRAINING!!

I used to be able to the run the Army BFA (2.4km) in 7 minutes. I can barely walk a flight of stairs now.
2:55/km pace is pretty swift.
