So what do we do. We all love his potential yet at the moment he is a watcher.

There is zero intensity in his game at the moment. He is not tackling, he is refusing to even attempt a contested ball. I know all teams have them but you can't afford to carry too many people running on the outside. There are times you need to contest and he is not doing it at the moment.

I expected him to move into top 5 category this year, following McLean's lead. Unfortunately he is getting a game on potential alone.

For me he needs to be either dropped or played up forward where we can at least use his footy smarts and straight kicking. This is were your coaches are needed to get the best out of the players on your list.

He is not the only player on the list down by the way, but someone we need to turn it around quickly.

Unfortunately one of the biggest disappointments for me this year, had such high hopes he would kick on as we need his class around goals.
Should go back to the two's but we are a bit light on for replacements.

He is an icing on the cake player. He’ll play well and look a million bucks if we’re on top, but the way we’ve been playing he’s no hope in his role and his weaknesses become exposed.

Never really saw what others did

He is another meh player to add to the list we already have.

Be ok in a good team but isn’t someone I’d be relying on.

Jason Tutt was faster, a better kick and perhaps a better tackler. He was delisted by Carlton. At the time of his move, Bevo wanted to keep him. Sometimes it's just a 1% more effort is needed.

Don’t care if a player or two have low tackle numbers, as long as they impact games in other ways. Dale isn’t having an influence whatsoever at the moment, but his spot should be considered to be on the line as we need to shuffle the pack a bit to see where our team balance heads. I’d leave him in as a last chance v Carlton, back to VFL to find form/consistency if he doesn’t lift.

Struggling because our inside mids have been inept at winning the ball this past year or so. He will be fine once we rectify our issues
This 100%. He is an icing on the cake type player and at the moment our cake is more resembling uncooked damper.

Unfortunately Bailey's been hovering around like a seagull hoping for others to throw him some scraps. He needs a good talking to to get his hands dirty. It's touch and go for him for selection this week but I've no problem if he's demoted - despite my signature below.

Needs to make a presence, a voice, demand the ball if you are not going to be the one getting in and under to grab it. He is Ghosting at the moment, which hints that perhaps he isn't altogether comfortable out there. I don't know why, but he has no spark, no urgency or desire to make an impact. Seems content to ride out the game and see if it falls his way or not.

With his talent, that is unacceptable, he has the perfect chance to stake his claim in the team and make his career, right now! He isn't taking it... doesn't recognize the situation? Doesn't want it just yet? I don't know, but needs to be pulled aside and have it all laid out plain as day. Time to grow up Bailey and become an AFL footballer, a young injury riddled team, you'll never get a better chance then now.

Disappointing as he was our shining star last year. Hopefully he can find some form, but time for a spell in the twos. Too many with little input is hurting the success of the team atm.

Always been a bit meh on Bailey Dale. Nice skills without being anything outstanding, that slight positive is more than outweighed by his negatives at present.

Needs to go back and find form but some of the hyperbole about his performances is borderline baby out will the bathwater stuff. Has shown that he can play just needs to do it more consistently. Not exactly a crime at his age/experience level.

I'm of the same view. Never quite got the buzz but I'm happy if he can regain his form and make a positive contribution. He can also take a handy mark i50 for a medium sized player.

Right now a spell in the twos wouldn't do him any harm, assuming we have a worthwhile replacement for him.

Back to the VFL to work on a couple of things like the basics. I would start with his contested possessions and work rate.

Similar averages thus far this year, to last year as a whole with the exception being tackles.

Other than that I haven't been overly concerned. Think we need to see a longer body of work before we completely write him off.
