2021 Ballarat Dragons Awards
Awards to be presented are:
Leading Goalkicker
Jeremy Cameron – 34 goals
Best New Talent
Willem Drew – 1,661 points in 22 games (75.5 avg)
Most Improved Player
Sean Darcy – 1,971 points in 21 games (93.9 avg)
Best and Fairest
The Ballarat Dragons Best and Fairest award is given to the player who is deemed the best player in the team over the course of the season. For each game played this season 5 votes is given to the Ballarat player who scored the most points in the game, 4 votes is awarded to the Ballarat player with the second most points in the game, 3 votes is awarded to the Ballarat player with the third highest points in the game, 2 votes is awarded to the Ballarat player with 4th highest points in the game and 1 vote is awarded to the Ballarat player with the 5th highest points in the game.
In the event of two or more players having the same score in a match, the tie will be broken by awarding the higher votes to the player with more goals in the match. If players are still tied then the higher votes will be awarded to the player with the most disposals, hitouts, marks and then tackles in that order.
Voting is conducted for the AFL TM premiership season home and away rounds as well any finals played by the club. Pre-season games do not count.
After the voting has been completed for all rounds, the player who has accumulated the highest amount of votes for the season will be crowned as the Ballarat Dragons Best and Fairest. In the event of a tie, both players will be deemed the Best and Fairest player for the season.
