bfl footy 2 local teams going at it disgraceful football what a scappy display reserves standard at best
not a hope against any sides in ballarat with that effort

south better hope sutts dosent leave like has been stated (moder)as they have nothing with out him as for the bloods thak god the old man bergs played still racks them up

you have been slagging them for months and they gave your boys a touch up

like they gave my boys last week, things are looking tough for the eastern sides

No panic just yet.

Round 1 against South was a disaster. Last week they had 4 or 5 unavailable/injured. They will still play finals, maybe.

true we are all rubbish
i have seen both games so far
the sad part about all this is that our twos are full of old ex good footballers that are past it and fill ins that have no abuility
our under 18s are just going no where in a hurry
apart from the ones already playing senior football
so depth is a massive issue a few injuries and god help us around mid season when it gets tough heading up the highway
a long few years ahead unless you try and buy a flag ???
sad state the eastern sides at the moment

Their recruiting has been sub-standard in the past few years and somebody needs to be held accountable for that . They do have some great people there that seem to shoulder a great deal of the workload but overall the place needs a facelift.

Havent posted for years but this is a pile of rubbish. This couldnt be further from the truth and you have no idea on the club. Finals 9 out of the past 10 years, Strong batch of juniors coming through (H Ingliss, Baker & Baker going well in Jets Squads plus numerous BFL junior reps) and we have professional business people who run the club & contribute enormous amounts of time and put the club in the strong financial position it is. Past players are always around and a volunteer base that are always helping out to run quality events. Recruiting is tough anywhere and the only recruits who have played less than two years have been urch (didnt play much anyway) and jake edwards who has gone back to VFL where he should be playing. No point recruiting a team of superstars as it never works - look at Redan's sustained success vs Sunbury attempt last year.

All should be close games
Bacchus Marsh vs Melton 10 points
Lake Wendouree vs Sunbury 14 points
North Ballarat City vs Redan 23 points
and im going to go out on a limb and tip
Melton South vs Darley
Ballarat vs East Point

A fine and brave leader of men both on and off the field apparently? I would have thought he would be best remembered for costing his club a premiership rather than credible leadership. If he is a club leader God help Darley. Maybe we can hear from Chieftont, Darley Rat, Perspicuous1 to defend his fine character. Or has that baton been passed to damiandannet?

up to HT Bacchus marsh was 9.1 55 to Redan 7.10.52
seems The Marsh has improved alot

they won the Reserves
B-Marsh 14.8 92 d Redan 11.8.74

under 18.5's
Redan 11.12.78 d B-Marsh 5.4.34
 
What a cracking round 4 it should be with all but 1 that could go either way.

Marsh V South
Redan V Sunba
East point V Sebas
Nth Ballarat V Ballarat
Melton V Darley

Doing well to get 5 from 5 this week!

I will tell whats wrong with darley ,outside players ,and will never win a big final while the dont play finals football all year round, unaccountable and what i mean is that they play off thier men across half back, not accountable at stoppages and their fwd pressure is near non existance. but they are good to have in the comp to fill up numbers oh and hold up the ladder.............

lucky you defined unaccountable, we didnt know what you meant, is that a new term in football

darley will be bottom until they play the marsh and beat them by 100 like we have for the past 12 years
 
Good to see the side "predicted" to be the worst side in the history of the Ballarat FL with a couple of wins on the board and a very solid effort against the Lakers... Well done Panthers :thumbsu:

Correct - I for one completely got that wrong. I would have thought Geddes would not have tipped South to be 4th after 3 rounds! The ladders I have seen all had South last - did you think differently before the season started?
