Re: Ballarat Football League

Poor response.

As we sit here, with our cup we all realise we have accomplished greatness. It is sad some people like KA only look at such winners with green eyes and the realisation must hit how pathetic there little lives are.

There are many that are and want to talk to the mighty swans that will see us be powerful for years. Continue to watch this space.

What are the players like recruited to sunbury. Types etc.

Why would Callum Urch want to see his career go down the drain by playing at Darley. He would be better playing at least VFL and having a good year with the hope of going to SANL or better for the money?

If he does play for darley then it shows his character.

Great response you mean - 100% on the money. Enjoy your last few months as when Sutts runs out as captain and player at South you will have to find a hole to crawl into.

You do realise Sunbury have won 4 flags since joining the BFL. You enjoy you 1 lttle cup. You were not a powerhouse in 08. But hey every dog has its day. Once again a soft draw will see you scrape into the 6 in 09.

Re: Ballarat Football League

He must be a real bad character if he wants to play country footy with a few of his mates. Who would want someone like that.

He is 21 or 22 and off an AFL list. He is a player that hasn't reached his full potential as he has been unlucky with injuries. If he stays in the top leagues then he may be a chance to get rookied or picked up.

Ultimately though, if he is playing in a lower league because he wants to enjoy playing footy with his mates then good on him, his choice at the end of the day.

Re: Ballarat Football League

He must be a choker so yeah he'd fit in nicely with darley

Benson - are you Oracles love child? You must be proud having such an intelligent individual looking up to you Oracle.

Hey Benson do you see the final this year against Frankston when Urch kicked a goal from 50m on the boundary line for Williamstown in the dieing seconds to win he game -didn't think so you twat!

Re: Ballarat Football League

Leave now, leave as fast as you can and dont look back. You are in the Moe of the West, only worse !
Failing that, run a nice hot bath, get in, and open an artery.
Only then will you have peace and contentment in that pitiful location.
saying that u support sunbury hahahahaha ur a joke every1 on the south relates sunbury to frankston anotherwords a hole

a goal from about 50 out in the dieing seconds to win the game..... sounds familiar to me but wasnt that the BFL grand final

Re: Ballarat Football League

Played at East Ballarat and Bungaree most recently. He was a tall, fit and mobile ruckman at Bungaree pre and post his time at East Ballarat with a big leap and a beautiful left foot and also played a bit up forward and early days spent some time at CHB.

Was a bit "injury" prone early days but these usually came on against strong/physical opposition but I think he has sorted that out.

Would be a good recruit for an AFLQ team and a very good recruit at the levels below.

He has an older brother who won a Liston medal in the VFL who is a massive unit but getting on in years but dont know where he is at.

What league/club are you with?

FM / Creeker, playing at Kedron in the State Association in Brisbane, 2 divisions below the state league. He certainly looks the goods, and with his experience will be handy for some of our younger key-position type players. Thanks again for the info guys.

Shouldnt your comp be happy to attract players like this instead of throw cheap sprays at them?? Well done brains Urch had alot of offers some bigger than Darley's but choose to play with a few mates Good on him and hope he stay injury free Enjoy watching him buddy

If he stays sound he will brain em at that level. You have a gun recruit so put him in cotton wool until the first game and keep black cats away from him!!:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Re: Ballarat Football League

Yes Darley have signed Sam Carlton, He is a huge boy.
Callum Urch was at pre-season training tonight, he is a massive unit and will be a huge asset to the Devils.

Re: Ballarat Football League

Read on the CHFL site that Sam Newton going back to Darley from Hepburn. Anybody from Darley confirm? Also Marsh having a big crack at Andy Mckay and Danny Abbott from out that way too. Heard Mckay said no and Abbott yes. Pity for the Marsh it wasnt the other way round.

Sam will come back home and play at Darley next year. If the Marsh snare the other 2 then they have done well. Abbott is from Darley and the Marsh will probably have to fork out big coin to get McKay back in the Snakes colours.

Re: Ballarat Football League

Started in 1919 so is 90 years old in 2009 so has a long successful history winning 19 odd premierships. Not much success in recent years last taking home the chocolates in 1995 however as you stated, played off in the GF last year going down after the siren. In 12 odd years in the BFL have missed the finals only once so record hasn't been too bad. Peanuts like Oracle would have you believe they were the best team all year in 2008 but Darley had a great year losing only the two games (inc the GF) having won only 4 games in 2007. Facilities are now excellent with a recent extension to the club rooms and with hopefully some new lights by the start of next year should see plenty of night football. Probably no bigger supporter base in the BFL and certainly none more passionate (the odd 'loud mouth' and plenty of blue tongues -not unlike most clubs) but you wouldn't want to playing or barracking for anyone else when the crowd gets going.

Darley should be there abouts again in 2009 with no worse a list than what was there in 2008. Respect from other Clubs and Umpires has been a problem in the past however the culture of the club has improved considerably under Gary and that will only improve in coming years.

Hope that helps!

Thanks mate they sound good might head down there and have a look

Re: Ballarat Football League

Great comeback Shag! Didn't see that coming.........................??? How are things at Sebas? Looking up?:D
Door was wide open, what do you expect?
Sebas is looking ok GTB, a few handy recruits but you can do your own homework who they may be.
The wheel of fortune is always turning......
Why? You looking for a new club?:D

Re: Ballarat Football League

At least darley arent deep throaters like yourself and oracle!

We aren't anything except the 2008 Premiers!!!!!!

Who did we beat again in the 2008 Grand Final? Oh thats right darley. Who lost the 2008 Grand Final reserves? Thats right Darley.

Losers.:D
