unfair comparison, most of those coaches were actively taking the team performance and/or culture backwards.
Under nicks we took forward steps in years 2, 3 and 4.
I think you'll be hard pressed to argue that year 3 was a forward step.
Round 6 we were 3-3 and we had a couple of really good early wins against Port and the Bulldogs in Ballarat, but from Round 7 onwards we were terrible. We won a further five games, however four of those five wins were against 17th and 18th (North Melbourne and West Coast).
2021 and 2023 were definitely improvement years, but 2022 IMO was a step backwards.
