Maybe they need to go through a trial period. After a week, if their posts are generally crap and antagonistic, PM them and warn them. Take it from there I feel.

We would end up with a ***load of extra mod work and the mods would come under fire for "why didnt you let my friend stay".

At the end of the day, we want to clean up a little and get the average a little higher, but we dont want to create a completely sterile environment.... as that would be just boring.

We all have fun on the General Boards, but seriously, we do need to do something about the amount of garbage on the main board. A small percentage of the threads actually contain decent footy talk.

Yeah very true actually. You dont mind people playing around on the general board, but it does get frustrating seeing the poor troll threads on the main board. Not to mentin the same old 'newbie topics' always popping up. Ugliest player, Voss Hird Buckley, Worst haircut etc.

If you have read some of the crap that has been posted the last week, you will understand why.

Regardless of whats being said, everyone deserves the same right to post as you do.

If they are out of line, send them a friendly PM and tell them what they need to do.

Exactly, or just deliberate troll threads. And it's annoying because there might be 2 or 3 really interesting threads on page 1, along with maybe 10 of these pointless threads. Gets a bit much!
