Any word from the club about our performance from the last game & whether they will be supplying tickets to this game?

Also, there was the rumor that a certain flavoured milk company may be interested in some sort of sponsorship - havent heard much more about that.

The way i see it - now that we have established ourselves, we should be looking to expand. Pick out the louder ones in the bay and tell them to haul ass over to bay 114 and join in the passion.

If people are concerned about there being no-one else to fire up other bays, they could easily move back after a week or 2 and then we could try and get more than 1 bay into it.

I was thinking more along the lines of expanding ourselved within bay 114. It's usually peppered with empty seats, which I think we can use to our advantage. We could get some of our more charismatic individuals to go sit down in some spare seats at some stage during the game and spread the word amongst the bay, whilst keeping up with the chants started up the back. If we could get even 1/3 of the people in the bay yelling along with us then we'd be making a TON more noise than we currently are, and it would, in turn, make other bays feel more welcome and less frightened to join in.
I'm not suggesting we pressure other people into joining in, but when you see someone sitting right next to you join in with a chant, you definately feel more inclined to join in too than when it's just a mob of voices from behind you, especially if that person has had a friendly chat and told you what it's all about.

Good call Dandy - while the intentions are good, a lot of people who don't know of these forums would probably be intimidated by us. A lot of people wouldn't think a group this big, co-ordinated and noisy would effectively be a bunch of strangers.

If we could get a few other people on board, and start drawing non-BF people over, it'd help it grow. Let people know that all is welcome and I suspect quite a few people would wander on over.

Put me down for 2 again - regardless of whether it's free or not.

This is all true = but by poaching you know these people are already keen - instead of pressuring others infront - alotugh that is what we are trying to do.

My point is that everyone here so far has said how great it is and being around a group of supporters that feel the same way that want to stand up and make some noise has been the best experience they've ever had at the footy - some of those at a game where we lost by 9 points.

Information will be made available as its recieved, regarding tickets etc. i would assume. The club's pretty good at letting us know whats going on. To be fair, the games something like three weeks away, so i dont think there'll be much to tell for a while.

As far as getting other people to join in, when ive been around the ground/ in the shed with the banner etc. ive had conversations with people, who have expressed interest in wondering over. I think we could do alot just simply by taking to people at the game, and spreading the idea.

There is alot of people saying we're doing a great Job "maybe i'll wonder down" and that's great as it is but it's actually getting that person off their seat and coming to us we have to focus on! We have to be invinting! otherwise being the lazy nation that we are those people can't be stuffed get up and walking round! it's gotta be so good that those people who think "maybe.......oh nah I'll just stay and watch" We have to get those people up out of their seats on over to us cos once they get to us....welll there's no turning back!

I was sitting in row Y last week and was the last of the BF crew. The people next to me started to join in more and more as the game went on but only to the "Adelaide" clap clap clap "Adelaide" clap clap clap. They are conditioned to only use this cheer and some of our chants may be too complex for them. But they did join in none-the-less and that is what we are aiming for.

Interesting you should point this out ST, perhaps some crows fans are already associating your banner with the bay 114 supporters. Maybe before the next game you could have your banner open in the shed and we bay 114's could explain what we are about to anyone that comes over and strikes up conversation! Then the message would spread quite quickly and hopefully our message to barrack hard and loud!

Just imagine 20 or 30 of us in the shed breaking out with "Adelaide is wonderful" as we left to move to our seating!!

A-league Grandfinal day - 30 Adelaide supporters, marching through the crown casino complex belting out many a tune including "We hate you coz your victorian" and "Adelaide Ole"

Inside chants echo like hell. A shed chant would rock.

On the other hand you don't want 40k+ fans rushing to the one spot.

Imagine if you didn't have some ballast to compensate, with the dicky sandy soil down there it might be a case of going down with the ship. :D

We do have a few "symbols" of Bay 114 - The yellow jacket is tjhe most obvious, but not everyon can see it from the other side of the ground.

ST's banner and a new bay 114/crows banner could be something associated with our group - come and ask us questions, come and join in on match days.

Bottom line is we need to be more inviting to other people, and that were not just some mob of drunk rambunctious yahoos that are just there to mae some noise. We need to be out there saying - yes, we would love for you to join us, we always need new people making us louder and prouder.

Spot on - we are about firing up the whole crowd like it used to be - a cauldron of noise.

Oh and there is that Loud and Proud again that I have been talking about as a motto.....

No, no, we're Bay 114. I think you've got us confused for something that rhymes. ;)

Anyway, I'm looking at coming over for Fremantle on July 21 and Port Adelaide on August 4. That way I would get to see the Crows five times in a row coz in that period three of our five games are in Victoria and the ones I'm looking at coming across for are the other two.

Hey Guys,

I'm thinking about sending an e-mail through to the AFC about the red coats, and try a get a bit of 2 way communication going.

Who's the best person to direct the email to?

i wouldn't

i reckon that would make us appear like we want to make the rules... (anyone elses thoughts the same?)

Spot on Mr Smooth - the AFC read this site and keep tabs on it and would very likely have quite an open communication with the sanfl as the section we have been sat in is the SANFL section.

We are aiming to provide a general happy area for people to support the team and we are not about making up our own little club or clique (which Adelaide has too much of anyway).

There was absolutely no issues with the red coats who were just doing their job.

I think the Red Coats were actually a little bit worried initially, then when they spoke to us and we did as we were asked, and were well behaved (apart from noisy) they were quite cool with it.

One of them actually asked me about it on the way back from the bar at 3/4 time - he thought it was excellent. Did take him a minute though; 'Wait, you all don't actually know each other, you're just from the internet? How are you so well organised then?'

yeah the lady initially, who was a bit abrupt, I noticed during the game was watching us and was laughing and smiling with us.

I think she was just doing her job, I think the only ladies behind must of complained and she had no choice but to ask us to sit down. She was just doing her job.

Theres plenty of two way communication already.

This isnt really a situation which we have a leg to stand on. We dont have the right to block others view of the games. The redcoats are just doing thier job.

I agree totally ST. We want to be endorsed by the Adelaide Football Club, and to gain that endorsement we must be mindful of other supporters, I am all for being a loud, enthusiastic supporter..but when given a fair request by the stadium's redcoats am quite happy to acquiesce
