They’ve moved Gill to no.3 far too early I feel. He’s still hasn’t really set the world on fire at the top of the order. He might be better suited at no.5 with his stroke play.Agree 1000 per cent.
Pujara needs an SOS as far as I’m concerned.

I think if not Pujara, then someone from the current Lions v Ind A series.Agree 1000 per cent.

Rahane and Pujara were dropping in performance at Test level. And their ages didn't justify gives them more chances. Since then, Rahane has impressed in the IPL for Chennai, and Pujara played county averaging 54.08 from 12 inningsI’m probably not in the loop enough with Indian selection but what’s the reason Pujara keeps getting dropped? To me he’s absolutely made for test cricket and you’d kill for a no.3 with that wealth of experience and technique.

Sounds like a recently retired Australian opener? The challenge for India is that they almost need to have two Test teams, one for Indian conditions and one for overseas.
Players like Gill and Iyer are excellent in India but don't seem to be able to cope with overseas bounce. Axar Patel is a must pick in India and must not pick outside of India. They don't seem to produce too many players now who have techniques to succeed anywhere.

Bharat to keep wickets? Thought I heard Rahul will be playing as a specialist batsman to start this series.I think if not Pujara, then someone from the current Lions v Ind A series.
Because then the lineup gets ****ed over. 1. Rohit 2. Yash 3. Pujara 4. Rahul 5. Shreyas 6. Jadeja 7. Ashwin 8. Axar 9. Bumrah 10. Siraj
Missing a player, and Shubman isn't a number 4.
I just saw that news as well. Bharat did just make a 116* in the recent India A game. And Rinku has been brought into the India A squad. So expect the promotion to be from there rather than Pujara.Bharat to keep wickets? Thought I heard Rahul will be playing as a specialist batsman to start this series.

They do have 4 frontline spinners in the squad...The 1st test bowling line up is looking like this;Sounds like england were going to go with 3 spinners guess now they need to go two spinners root as spin backup and wood/anderson.
India rather need to pull their ******* heads in with this. Absolutely putrid.
Did it to Ussie on our last tour, too.

Its great isn't it?Bazball going well in the Indian furnace
It’s served them well for about 16 matches including 2 good performances in India, one of which was an incredible win.Its great isn't it?
It's less to do with the style of play but more to do with the delusional commentary that comes out of there mouths like they are the ones that have created an aggressive brand of cricket and saving the game.
