As of this moment they have lost $45K.
How much do you think they will end up with?
My guess $600K

It would be very funny if that the car they get for being evicted is worth more than the what the eventual winner gets. LOLKatthawk said:It's all moot because they get prizes for being dumped and then god knows what else once they come out ie going on radio stations and so on. Famous for being outspoken and good looking. What's new.

sure it is.
Bill gates would be upset at losing $5000 for not wearing a microphone, or something else stupid.
these average australians would also care.
if i had the choice of $1 mil, or $950,000 i'd take the $1 mil everytime. everyone would. its not moot.
yes they will make outside cash, but they've walked away from there jobs, there families, there friends. they are having everyone in australia watch there lives, and get to know them. they deserve it.
"famous for being outspoken and good looking."
what the hell do you expect?
who wants to watch a bunch of ugly shy people?
get with the program.

I have heard them say it's all about the goodies and not so much the money. It's the moulah or the moola afterwards.
If they do it because they want fame and fortune then good on them. If they are good enough then they will do something. But I am not interested in this other than the attention they all get and what they say and do. Fantastic social experiment.
I reckon it will cut off at 500 thousand dollars. They are more entertaining this year than before. BUT I say that this could change.
I love it. Can't you tell!!
I agree - reckon they'll be the twist at the end. The winner will think they're walking away with $50,000 or whatever, then get the surprise of winning a million.Ljp86 said:I reckon that at the end, Channel 10 will put it back up to $1 Million.

Katthawk said:Are there that many lawyers on this site who would jump at the chance to 'sue' for monies not given to participants?
I say let them try, it is grand to see them play and pay the debts. Some of the trash they are dishing up ain't worth the million so good on them for taking it away.
As for contracts, it was in the contract to take it away as well as 'dish it out' .I love the fact they won't get what they came in for. If they do then it will be a farce. No one in there is worth getting a mill for.
Pessimistic said:Could the winner sue for the amount of the 'fines'
False advertising even if they sneaked a clause in the 'contract' somewhere.
Anyway the fines appear not to be a deterrent
