It's all moot because they get prizes for being dumped and then god knows what else once they come out ie going on radio stations and so on. Famous for being outspoken and good looking. What's new.

It would be very funny if that the car they get for being evicted is worth more than the what the eventual winner gets. LOL

its all moot?
sure it is.
Bill gates would be upset at losing $5000 for not wearing a microphone, or something else stupid.
these average australians would also care.
if i had the choice of $1 mil, or $950,000 i'd take the $1 mil everytime. everyone would. its not moot.
yes they will make outside cash, but they've walked away from there jobs, there families, there friends. they are having everyone in australia watch there lives, and get to know them. they deserve it.

"famous for being outspoken and good looking."
what the hell do you expect?
who wants to watch a bunch of ugly shy people?

get with the program.

I am with the program :)

I have heard them say it's all about the goodies and not so much the money. It's the moulah or the moola afterwards.

If they do it because they want fame and fortune then good on them. If they are good enough then they will do something. But I am not interested in this other than the attention they all get and what they say and do. Fantastic social experiment.

I reckon it will cut off at 500 thousand dollars. They are more entertaining this year than before. BUT I say that this could change.

I love it. Can't you tell!! :D

it will change.

the outspoken people will be voted out. then the good looking people.

and we'll be left with trevor again.

nominating for strategy and "flying under the radar" MAY stop this from happening..

but i think the housemates would rather get rid of the outspoken type of person as opposed to the flying under the radar type.

it doesn't matter how many fines they rack up. the winner will still get the million i reckon

Could the winner sue for the amount of the 'fines'

False advertising even if they sneaked a clause in the 'contract' somewhere.

Anyway the fines appear not to be a deterrent

Are there that many lawyers on this site who would jump at the chance to 'sue' for monies not given to participants?

I say let them try, it is grand to see them play and pay the debts. Some of the trash they are dishing up ain't worth the million so good on them for taking it away.

As for contracts, it was in the contract to take it away as well as 'dish it out' .I love the fact they won't get what they came in for. If they do then it will be a farce. No one in there is worth getting a mill for.

err. suppose fat eddie started reducing th prize money on 'meeeionair' because he didn't like the 'look' of the winner do you think that would be OK

I once won a two week holiday in hawaii which turned out to be a week each for two people. OK its a holiday I didn't have before but people enter these competitions in good faith. As I recall we had to harass them for the actual tickets, itinery etc

Nope, in the housemates BB contract and the games rules, it says that BB can change the games rules at any time. That means Channel 10 is saving its arse and can't be sued.
