We have a lot of players that would be first 11 playing for interstate teams. A bit to do with the nature of the T20 competition but also payroll has very deep pockets and short arms. Think someone needs to be a bit more generous with the cheque book in future.

Good win by Hobart. Perth muffed a few chances. The spinners brought it back in the middle overs but the pace bowlers were not effective on this pitch.

Perth won't get over 150. They can't chase. The pattern will be lot of very tentative singles followed by a few wild shots trying to hit the ball out of the ground. They don't have a middle gear.

Hobart doesn't exactly have the most deadly bowling attack.

Meredith is going to be a handful on this wicket. He is lightning quick - just about the quickest going around. Should be fun to watch.

Either going to tear through the line up or the pace will be used for easy runs.

Very good total lead by Short but fear it's never really enough for the Canes bowlers. Meredith the biggest threat but his strength is also exploitable.

Salary cap breach and point deduction is the only way your sliding below the Renegades

If the Scorchers are above the salary cap then I reckon it's pretty safe to say there's some serious money laundering going on. At least half the blokes in the first XI can't be on much more than the minimum wage.

Hope they open with him. Gets a bit of outswing too + 150+ clicks...but yeah, agreed, could go either way.

They’ve got 8 guys in the 11 that have played T20 internationals
