The over could have been completed fairly quickly there. Looking back at it, once the over started it should have been finished. Thunder dudded there just like they were when the lights went out at the gabba last year. Light quality was atrocious but we're talking four balls. In India it's like that all the time!!

They obviously thought having a spinner for an over would be ok, but players couldn’t pick up the ball at all in the field and players such as Siddle and Khan were struggling to breathe. At the end of the day, a no result in a BBL game means very little compared to the reasons behind the smoke over the ground.
