Thunder bowlers are absolute spuds. Pity the sixers or the stars weren't there to actually make a contest of it.
Yeah really not sure how they scrapped their way to a final with that squad. I know they’ve had injuries but I don’t even think their full strength side really stacks up against most others for talent.

It’s Billings (occasionally) and Warner plus Green with the ball and that’s about it.

Really was just Perth imploding in our 2 games against them that got them through because I’d have them well below even a side like Adelaide for match winning talent.

There was Big Bash preview on ABC during one the tests and they talked about every team except the Canes so little did they seem to consider them a threat. Surprised me as ok paper always a competitive team but maybe it was down to how many times they seemed to underperform in prior years, always seemed to be blokes could never be in form at the same time, especially their batters. Finally came together.

Shame they'll lose David next season.
Story of our season. Watch any replay and the commentators will be talking about our opponents and how it's a tricky time for Hobart, and how they'll struggle to regain ascendancy right up until we've won the match.

Incredibly maddening.

But winners are grinners and its our mother ****ing trophy now.

This threads great reading the day after. So many doubters, all season except 1 game Hobart found themselves on a knife's edge and just played through.

To win it so well from their position at the first 10 overs of Thunder's innings, was magnificent. They could've easily crumbled under the pressure. Great effort, electric crowd in a smallish stadium.

Looks like they will get Webster though.

You've got to hand it to them, they dragged it back well after that opening 10 overs, although they had some help from the Thunder batsmen it has to be said.

And when Owen went beserk, well that was pretty much game over after the first 7 or 8 overs of the Hurricanes innings, before we knew it the target was down to a run a ball.

Ellis a certain man of the match until the chase started...that near hat trick killed the Thunder, who were looking at 200+ on a funny wicket...

Took you a while to respond, seems like our carrier pigeons got the result to us before you!
Pffft...WA bragging about technological prowess - when they build the new stadium in Hobart, the signal smokestack will flash live scores to the rest of Australia within a week...depending on the wind...

Some stations will be lighting up replays after the match, so if you don't wish to know the score, look away now...
