Your bowling arm is generally a tad higher when bowling a googly, which is pretty much 75% of the balls Pope bowls. Boyce mainly bowls back-spinning skidders. Richie Benaud did a leg spin tutorial as part of the MCC master-class series I think in 1994 out the back of Lord's. Richie was very strong on the idea bowlers were side on in their action. Pope looks very front on.
Absolutely but his is too high I would say although it's not doing him much harm and as we know, you don't have to be textbook to succeed at the professional level.

Have you seen all of the videos? Bishen Bedi did one for left-arm spin and Ray Illingworth for off spin. Neither were too impressed with the MCC bowlers they were working with.

With my bowling, I tried so much to be side on that I crossed myself and my arm was coming over the top of my head so almost no pace at all was being generated. After a few sessions with Callum Stow (Geelong,Cricket Victoria,Renegades), I've pretty much ironed that out now and am bowling much better but still can't get a bowl in my team in GCA4 🤣
