Just saw it, very similar to Pickett's last year. Expect at least 4 I'd guess. Went for the man instead of the ball, will be punished for it.
Should get 4 but looking at how the tribunal operated last year and so far this year, there will be various discounts thrown in, including one for being silly enough to get hit by a taxi. That should reduce the suspension by at least one week. Then of course if he has any supermarket dockets, he will probably be able to get it down by another week, leaving a 2 week suspension. Then the Weagles might appeal, arguing that they had a tough pre-season, with various unwelcome incidents, and that the stress on the playing group has meant they really do not know what they are doing and therefore plea for mercy, and it will end up one week, with no carry over points.

I don't think WCE could seriously argue that they've had a tough preseason. They are sitting on top of the ladder with a record of 5-0. If you had a record like Carlton then maybe you could use excuses like that but the reality is Carlton are just plain crap.

Bunch of hypocrites some of you wce supporters are.
Last year happened with the same thing to selwood and some of your lot were crying like babies to no end. Then when one of yours does it to another player you downplay it to the extreme!
Bunch of precious pussies!

When did this thread become about Carlton? How long do you think Waters will be suspended for? That is the topic of this thread, please stick to the subject.

You mentioned WCE using bad preseason as an excuse. I used your team as an example. I can understand how you don't want to talk about your team though.

I think if you bothered to read the thread, most posters including WCE were saying that Beau would go. Helps to open both eyes.

And what does WestCoast's "tough" pre season and Waters being hit by a taxi have to do with Beau's hit on Copeland? Fool.

I was being tongue-in-cheek about the tribunal process. But of course you prefer to live in denial about the fact that the Waters, Cousins, Gardiner, Sampi incidents were not good for the reputation of the AFL. To the credit of Cousins particularly, he has got on with his football and the Eagles are winning, which given their list they should be. The Eagles list is the second best in the competition and therefore you would expect them to win consistently. They probably should have won the premiership last year, given they played Sydney in the GF. One decent KP forward would have been enough to give you a comfortable win over Sydney.

I am more than happy to talk about Carlton, anytime you like. I can't be too disheartened about where they are at now. They gave me lots of good times through the 70s, 80s & 90s, including 11 successive finals campaigns from 1978-1988. 38 seasons of supporting them, only 14 bad years, 8 premierships. It can't go on forever. Supporting a football team is a bit like the marriage vows: through good times and bad, in sickness and in health, you will be there.

BTW, how many weeks do you reckon Waters will get?

Thats quite a bit of typing there. Anyway back to your question, if you look earlier in this thread I said about 2 maybe 1. Maybe that is a bit optimistic but hard to tell with the tribunal this year given some of their decisions.
