You will have to get in contact with Eddie Martin who is the goal umpires coach.

you will love it. Trust me you will reall enjoy it. Umpiring is so much fun. you probably can smell Lake wendouree's oval. Meaning that when you go to that ground you will have to wear a peg because of the stinky soil.

Yeah we are appointed to all practice matches. You get to umpire some awesome teams as well.
Andy, you will need to ask Ed and mark that when you see them. Where our office is you will find that we are next to the BFL CEO Rod Ward. He will have plenty of copies of the BFL and the LPFL fixtures.
Not sure about the CHFL fixture.

mostly wodnering what the Umpires Room are like in size eg Ballarat, CHFL & MaryBorough I hope their not small half the umpires rooms in the wimmera are small very Crampted except least 1 bigger but half built for the 1 umpire system even when they renevate their buildings they forget about the umpires room lol close games i go already changed .

cheers

Most of them are small.
Clunes we use the ladies changerooms as our umpiring rooms. Which is a nice big changeroom:)
Bacchus Marsh has got new umpires rooms which consists of 2 rooms.

Some are shocking down in the metro area as well, the newer ones are often the worst as they have started building 2 seperate rooms for umpires, problem is the 99% of days you dont need the 2 rooms there is no room especially with 6 umpires
You do if you have got females running with you.

come to finals that makes it even worse eg Grand final once the games finished ya had to take ya bag back to the car,
i'm going to note them at each ground i get appointed to ;)
to compare the ones from the Wimmera
Nhill's Shocking Horshams is Bigger then it use to be
Murtoa is small ya about falling over each other
Minyips small, Dimboola shocking , stawell is good
Ararat is shocking

looking forward to seeing some good footy either in Ballarat, CHFL or MaryBorough Castlemaine If I Wasn't umpiring i'd easy get a job in The Scoreboard ;) which i done for years before i decided to do goal Umpiring

I've seen one CHFL game a few years ago at Waurbra i was talking to the bloke on the gate who knew someone from my old Home town of Brim i said what a small world it is ;)
Its hard to post on forums when ya new to the area umpires forums not so bad one forum I won't be visiting in the near future cause of certain rude posters i hope don't Post here ;)

maybe if I am good enough cross over to the NTFL or something.

OR THE CHFA! :thumbsu::p

I am still seriously thinking about joininh and being a goal umpire in the Darwin Football Association next season, I have emailed the league and such and they say to have a word with the Queentown Football Club as they supply the umpires for this part of the league.
How have you gone with getting info?
Also, if you know, or find out, what are the numbers of umpires turning up for training at this early stage?
Being involved with umpiring in the CHFA it is of quite a bit of interest to us as to how you are going down the road !:)

I often wonder what it would be like as a goal umpire. From what everyone is saying here it sounds like it has its ups and downs.

Ive started training 2 weeks ago for my first year goal umpiring. Theres a bit more to it, to what you would think.
