Why is this not closed yet? Seriously, This is why we cop it left, right and centre when we're not going that good. Get rid of this thread, and to the OP, whats wrong with u guy? Have you been following us long? If we win two in a row and are still on fire in the third year, then yeah go ahead and create a thread like this, but we haven't done anything yet and you post this?
We should be far more worried about ending Geelong's mini dynasty before it becomes a dynasty.

It's not closed yet because the OP is entitled to his opinion. He has expressed that opinion in a fair and constructive way. While I think it is a bit misguided there is no reason to close a thread simply because someone expressed a different opinion.
Personally if I had posted the OP I would have been more conservative and said we have the chance to be among premiership contention in the next 3 or 4 years. I think that would be a fair comment. The OP just took that thought one step further but I think there is similar logic behind it. Just call the OP an optimist.

It's hard to grow some balls when our past 11 GF appearances is littered with 10 losses.
I am sick to death of trying to keep everyone calm and not get ahead of ourselves. We haven't even played a final yet, let alone made the GF FFS.
This talk of dynasties is one that should be kept amongst your mates whilst downing a few too many frothies. It certainly shouldn't be mentioned in an open forum such as BF. This sort of shit will get bandied about by all and sundry and will heap so much pressure on the lads. It is totally and utterly not needed now, not ever.

All I said was we have a really strong young list, and I think we have a chance to be ultra competitive for the next year 3-5 years... was wondering what everyone else thought.
I didnt say anything about this year.
I think if we went out in straight sets this year it would just spur us on next year, and we would be an even better chance.

We have a great young list, would probs be the youngest list to win a flag in a decade (havent done the math, but lets just assume)
Do we now have the beginning of a dynasty, or are we just a good team?
Thoughts now? even though u doubted us 2 months ago?
