Maybe it has something to do with his relationship with Samantha Druce. She works in Perth and may not want to quit and move to the other side of the country. He can do exactly the same thing in Perth as he could do in Melbourne. The same problems would be in his life.

rumour isnt true because he has only decided to go back to perth to train with a club in the hopes of making an afl list next year

What ever it is he must have invested well, he's had more state and overseas trips than a rock band in the last 12 months and the money gotta be wearing thin soon.

Yep, the only thing thats been confirmed is that he won't be playing football in Victoria THIS year.
What a joke he won't go to Freo, I reckon he would rather not play footy...

Cousins indicated in his recent interview that he wasnt sure about footy next year and he didnt think he would play a game for whichever team he registered with this year - the registration was necessary to "keep my options open".
He has been in Perth for a long while, only flew to Melbourne in the last couple of days with his ex for work on the documentary he is making.
He has decided that staying in Perth is his preference as regards his life at this point, where he trains is irrelevant as he can still be drafted now that he was registered by the due date.
I really cant see the story here. A bloke who had no intention of doing anything other than train at Port is now instead going to train at East Freo.
