I do not think anyone really knows what is going on with Cousins, at the moment it would just be rumours. You'd probably have to wait until we know if Cousins is registered to know what is really happening.

AFL commission is meeting sometime soon to discuss his re-registration.

If he gets re-registered, he'll go into either the ND or PSD, with Collingwood, St Kilda and Brisbane (not necessarily in that order) looking the most likely destinations.

BC is coming to collingwood.. have a source and will not name or hint at who it is.. 100% to be at the pies provided 2 things happen - he gets approval from the AFL and he is clear of his drug addiction... cousins and collingwood have a deal in place whcih becomes effective as soon as he is re-registered....

I dont know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. He is getting on and out of touch!.

He will go into the PSD so he can nominate a price, if he goes into the ND he will get standard rates.

He can nominate his fee in either draft.

However, Collingwood really aren't in any sort of position to "do a deal with him", as several other interested parties get to go before them in the drafts (most notably Brisbane).

Are you sure about that?

He can definitely nominate a fee when nominating for the ND. Only first & second year players are prevented from doing this.

As for Collingwood making a deal, I can't see how they can. They can get him to put a price on his head, but they then have to wait and see what happens in the draft. If someone else drafts him, agreeing to his price, then that's it - game over.

Unless of course someone picks him up with an earlier pick....

No use someone with an earlier draft pick picking him up if he doesn't want to play for them......

Just wasting a spot.

dream on mate there is still alot of teams before collingwood in the draft that will take him before you get a chance .

i dont need to dream... he wants to come to COLLINGWOOD and WILL do so.... not brisbane.. not st.kilda (despite their best buttering up efforts).. or port(chococo said he doesnt want him anyway)....

do u honestly think any club in its right mind would want a player (albeit a superstar) with his history coming to their club if he doesnt want to play for them???? great way to bring on a relapse.. being stuck in an environment where u dont want to be.....cousins has a great relationship with malthouse and this is the biggest drawcard there is for him...

for all of u others out like saints and brissy supporters dont bother getting ur hopes high because barring a miracle-especially in brisbanes case- he will not be at your club....

BTW why would he buy a house in port melb if he wasnt sure of where he wanted to play....

I was a bit sceptical wether the pies were looking at him but if you look at what they traded for today, & their picks in the ND, it makes sense that he will be a pie if he gets approval to return.

He WILL NOT be a saint unless they used pick 13(which they surely wouldn't) & as for Brisbane they wouldn't think to use a ND pick, because they have a higher pick than the pies in the PSD & would think they could nab him there.

I don't follow your logic in dismissing the Lions if they choose to go for Cousins.

In either the PSD or national Draft they pick before the Pies.
