Heard a rumour today that Shane Bleckic is playing at All Blacks does anyone know if this is true and why would he be playing there?

Heard that one too, can only hope it is not true!

Heard they have been taking him out to dinner/meetings and putting him and his mrs up on weekend getaways to try convince him over. Did hear he was keen to travel back home to play, just thought he might have come back to Tatong where he has played over 100 games and was senior captain 2005

Heard a few grumblings about the reappointment of the coach. But you get that at all clubs.

Swanpool wouldnt want any of you players, you Tatong boys sound too full of yourselves and ball hasnt been bounced yet.
Lets see how good you feel after Swanpool serves it up to you in round 4.
Also maybe you should slow down and concentrate on your typing because your comments are hard to read ********.

I don't think that's even true about Paullke, apparently Longwood has spent all the money they had on new lights and towers. I also heard that Vercoe has talked his mates Houston, Fox and Weathers into playing again. A 2000 premiership reunion.

How are you 2 going to get along next year when the vcfl release their re structure plans which involves an amalgamation between Tatong and Swannie
to make 1 O&K team. Better get some brotherly love happenin' now.

Wont happen, almost 100 years of history there! biggest rivals around the district. Its like asking Carlton to merge will Collingwood.

on the radio this morning talking league restructures and team mergers .

Slim is right. There arent many options for the clubs in the b&d if it wasnt to go ahead next year. Either fold (go into recess) or combine and be competitive in the O&K or equalivant league. If a merge had to happen to continue the "history" of the club I think they wouldnt have a choice.

Unfortunately it is inevitable. Teams like Swanny and Tatong will have to merge to stay competitive in the league where they are headed in 2008 which is more than likely the O&K. Its sad but true but to be honest the VCFL should hang their head in shame as their lack of support and assistance over time has probably contributed to it all.

Whilst I know the demographics and many other issues in rural areas in country areas have caused these probalems, the VCFL should also be held responsible for this mess. It saddens me to see the demise of the smallest league in Victoria.

Will be interesting to see how things turn out and where teams head.
 
I don't know much about King Valley but Tatong beat them in Benalla Night Series practice match tonight.

Tatong 9.5.59 to King Valley 8.1.49 in a 4 x 15 minute quarter game

You might have to be pro active and hold a 99th year reunion/annivversary as i also see some of the B+D clubs having to merge and go to leagues such as the ovens and king might not be all doom and gloom as the o and k is a good strong league which is well run and has good sponsership and media support while you never want clubs to merge it has to be a better option than having no football clubs in these great little communities

Hilly doesn't have a clue where he will line up this yr. X hammil is trying to convince him to stay at redlegs stadium but could be falling on deaf ears. Money could be a big incentive to hilly to get him to play anywhere!

Can someone from tatong fill me in on how ando and webby r going at the minute? played a bit of juniour footy with ando, get him fit and focussed and no-one will get close, excellent reader of the ball, just gotta get him fit.....

Webby is a very good player gets a bit of the ball but not very brave < i have heard he sleeps with the light on > anderson also a good player and he will tell you that,he would want to be a good player for them as i have heard he is getting his rent paid.
 
I Have heard that the 2 Ben's will be back playing for Bonnie Doon this year. Both Vogelzang & Tanner lining up for the Doggies.

Can anyone confirm this?

He's always ran wide for a kick but on his day can certinaly play the game. Noticed his footy has dropped off a fair bit recently, spose it comes from being a big fish in a small pond. Managed to win his clubs b&f for 3 of the last 4 years or somthing like that.
As much as i hate to admit, tattong did look alot better last night......

well f#ck rodney get redda to flash a bit of cash around, hes worth it... as for those 2 i dont think they will worry you at longwood too much, ando maybe as you said only if he gets fit.
will be an interestin year, think everyone will try in a mad rush to win what could bethe last bdfl grand final, will be good to see..

got tatong in round 1 robbo, no idea what to expect. wether they're better then last yr who knows, only time will tell. where r u lining up this yr rob-thom? wat r ur thoughts on bdfl for the year?

as for redda flashing cash, not sure he'd have the authority, if he culd i'm sure he would,,,,,,,

Bonnie Doon - Last years runner up. Not much happening clearance wise but i hear Ben Tanner and Vogelzang will be back playing this year (both played 2005). Doc Wellwood has taken over as senior coach, they will be a team to watch.

Goorambat - Premiers 2006 a lot of players moving on / retiring. Struggling with numbers on track. Nolan (captain) is a player to watch. Bruce Burnell coaching again.

Longwood - 3rd Last year, would have been disappointed not to have played off against the bats. Relativeley active on the recruitment front, havent lost much. New coach in Redfern. Would have to start flag favourites in 2007

Swanpool - 4th in 2006. Just heard tonight Ged Brennan has walked out on the club, Michael Burgess to coach. Good group of young guns, Hausner, Cook & Schneider, will be pressing for top 2 finish

Tatong - 5th in 2006. Kept majority of 2006 playing group together. Added some handy recruits in Anderson, Vallender & Cox. Don Moss to coach again. Hungry for finals action in 2007
