Lost 17-11 to 17-9 or something around that. Kick after the siren from a free that wasnt there won the game for Frankston in the end although i must say that the umpiring was crap for both sides all day and they ran us down in the last quarter and deserved to win. It was a little dissapointing that we didnt win. With the side we played we should have been able to get over them. We got smashed in the ruck a and the clearances pretty much all day. We looked good when we ran the ball hard but at times we stopped running and we where way too loose.
This is a run down of the guys who played, if they are not listed they didnt play
Mark Bolton played the first half and was pretty good. Only made a couple of errors. Kicked a gaol and played reasonably well. Left after half time to fly to Adelaide with the seniors as the emg.
Scott Camporeale Not a great game for Campo. Had the fumbles and looked off his game. got the ball ok but struggled to do anything damaging with it. Prepared to cut him some slack as he has been in the modified group for a good time and would be lacking a bit in touch having not done much ball work.
Danny Charters had a solid game. Struggled at times with the big forwards but is good in the air and runs well out of defence. Was shaken up a bit in a marking contest clash in the third quarter and came off the ground but he came on for the last quarter and got a few posessions.
Dean D1ck Didnt play a lot and he picked up a right hamstring injury early. Went back on later on but had to come of again before half time.
Ricky Dyson Queit start on the wing but did well towards the end of the first quarter. Same sort of game in the second quarter where he was in and out of the game a bit on the wing. After half time he was moved into the middle and did well. Plenty of hard running and posessions. The only downside was his disposal was ordinary in patchs including 3 turnovers by foot.
Scott Gumbleton Started at CHF and dropped a couple of early marks. Moved into the ruck later in the first quarter and started to get a few kicks although he was well beaten in the taps. Dropped 4 or 5 marks he should have taken but he had a good hit out spending a lot of time on the ball. Played mainly CHF in the last quarter and kicked a goal.
Chris Heffernan quiet early before slowly working into the game. Was very good in the third quarter but faded out in the last.
Heath Hockingstarted each quarter on the bench but when he came on he was always in the action. Has a couple of sloppy turnovers from handballs but his kicking remains excellent. Another very good game.
Bacher Houli was our best in the first half. Plenty of run and set up. Hit targets with his hanball and looked impressive. His second half wasnt a productive but he was still good.
Courtney Johns Funny sort of a day out for CJ. Kicked 3.2 and set up a couple more. Didnt get huge numbers or dominate but he was still effective. played mainly half forward with a couple of goes in the middle.
Jay NeagleKicked 5 goals from FF. Played well taking some strong marks. Looked a little lost early on but really got going in the 2nd and 3rd quarter.
Kyle Reimers Had an interesting game. Struggled early on but when he gets going he does some nice things and is a beatifull kick of the ball. Looks like he likes the push and shove. Had to be helped off the ground in the third quarter after being hit in the throat by a blatent cheap shot from one of the Frankston players. Came back on after 3/4 time and played the game out.
