And while we're on album covers, how the hell did Blind Faith ever get away with the front of their self-titled release?

They didn't in this country. It was released in a plain beige coloured jacket with a picture of the band in the centre and the band name above. How they got away with it overseas?? Good question.

Completely agree. This thread should be favourite Iron Maiden album covers... The rest just dont really stack up.

The "No Prayer..." cover was changed in 1998 for any subsequent reprints. The gravedigger was removed, and inscription placed on the plaque in the bottom left corner. I think the predominant blue in the cover might also have been a shade darker.

I also reckon some of the Iron Maiden albums are worth getting on vinyl JUST for the artwork. The detail and intricacy on some of them (Somewhere In Time, Powerslave, Brave New World) can't be done justice on a CD cover.

Spinal Tap's 'Smell the Glove'.

Ah, but you should have seen what they wanted to put on the cover. It wasn't a glove she was smelling.:D

Yeah, Leapster. I couldn't even bring myself to include a photo of it on this thread.

Defies belief. Was Ginger Baker's daughter.

Maybe it was more suited to a Glitter Band album cover? Or Pete Townsend (for research purposes, of course)?
