Greg Tivendale was the biggest disappointment this year without a doubt. Injury free. No excuses. A very very ordinary year.

Agree IITB. I also think that Newman stagnated a bit this season. Based on development pre-04 season, I would have thought he would have been where Chris Hyde is and Chris Hyde would have been where he is.

Chaffey has to be right up there in disappointment stakes. Usually a fairly honest performer, especially in a weak side. Shocking year. No trade value though.

Also, although I'm anti-Fiona, should a trade pick this high, with a couple of years of development under his belt, poll this low in a wooden-spoon teams b&f? Is this bad player development on the coaching staff's behalf or simply Fiona showing his true worth as a dud?

And a positive just for you Sante, highlights are Bowden, Hyde and Hartigan. Good seasons from these guys.

I think Newmans position was probably due to the role they asked him to play this year. He was used mainly in a negative role (how unusual in the Spud era) as opposed to being given more of an attacking role.

From what I saw a lot of the time he was often marking opposition attacking small fowards.
