PLACEBO PLACEBO PLACEBO. So so good!

Followed by Muse and Stone Sour!!!!

All shows were in Melbourne!

I'll pay Stone Sour, I was at that gig, awesome night. And I've seen Muse a couple of times, they were fairly mind blowing to be honest.

For mine I'll go Metallica, Iron Maiden, and RATM, honorable mention to Dream Theater.

Pearl Jam. many times... and have not disappointed yet.

the Foos are also quality live... all hits... they are the best live band for the casual fan. Grohl is the master of pumping up the crowd.

guns n roses at calder park, purely because of the magnitude of the crowd, the fact i was right at the front, the fact that we'd been there all day and couldn't go to the toilet or drink water, basically we went through hell to see them so appreciated it when they came on.

Skid row performed as well and i must say fond memories made me smile when i heard 'i remember you' on south park the other night. :)

A great band, I have seen were called The Masqueraders, and that was in Memphis, they are a great soul band.

Best singer I have ever seen in my whole life is Christina Aguilera. She has got the most amazing natural talent, non of this computer generated or lip synching crap. AMAZING is all that can be said.

Rodger Waters DSOTM tour and the one he did about 4 years previous where the best. Sepultura at Fetival hall over a decade now where brilliant. Porcupine Tree last month was absolutely briliant. Underwolrd twice (On and off drugs both times still awesome) Kraftwerk where cool. The Orb was cool but I was seriously ____ed up and can't really remeber it.

The Flaming Lips at the 05(i think) BDO was the best live performance I've seen, closely followed by Pornland.

That Sepultura gig is legendary, i've heard so many people name that as their favourite gig. And Underworld are the best dance act I've ever seen, absolutely awesome stuff! :thumbsu:

The best band I've seen live would be either Iron Maiden or Machine Head. Iron Maiden were amazing with the imagery, lights, stage effects etc, as well as an obviously very well rehearsed performance, as you'd expect. Machine Head were really full on during the tracks, awesome sound, but then really casual and inviting in between songs, really awesome guys just hanging out you could tell, adapted to the Australian situation (being Halloween that night) very well. Vanishing Point who opened for Iron Maiden were really good as well.

On the other hand I've seen a lot of shit bands live because of Big Day Out and stuff like that. My Chemical Romance stand out as a REALLY horrible act live, sounded like a young garage band with a really nasal/screechy vocalist..

Rush - 8th August 2007 Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Colorado.

I saw them 2 times in 02 (MSG & Boston) and 2 times last year (Red Rocks,Colorado & Shoreline Ampitheatre, California) but Red Rocks was the best concert and best concert venue i have seen. 9 Rows back dead center.

Now that would have been AWESOME!

Yes it certainly was. The concert was amazing and the venue just topped it off. It is up in the mountains just carved into the rocks. I saw it in the u2 under a blood red sky video years ago and always wanted to see a show there. Easily the best venue i have seen.

It was a nice warm night with lots of stars out and you could see the city lights in the distance. An unforgettable night.

Muse are easily the best live band I've ever seen, been to all their shows but the best gig was 2004 at the HiFi bar in Melbourne.
The only other memorable live shows have been from older bands like skid row, guns n roses, metallica and ac/dc.

The kooks @ Glastonbury
Bloc Party @ Glastonbury

The kooks would have been great.

Most surprisingly awesome - Alicia Keys.
Saw her at the North Sea Jazz Festival ( @the Hague, just outside Amsterdam ) a few years ago, she blew us away with her keys and singing skills. Great band backing her up, threw herself into the concert, was really good. :thumbsu:

Wow... just wow. WOuld have been so amazing

Unfortunately I'll never get to see them :( One of my other favourite bands aren't around either Sublime. :(

Damm people dying and bands breaking up, that sucks......

1983 - U2 performing at the Ent Cent in Sydney for their Under a Blood Red Sky tour. First concert I was allowed to go to and my Mum was mortified cos the ticket cost me $18 !! Memorable and completely awesome.

Next on the list Hoodoo Gurus - seen them 50 times probably and every time they outdid the last show. Spectacular.

Worst concert I ever went to was INXS in probably 89, at the ent cent. They were abominable. Left halfway thru.

Fun concert, Phil Collins at the Opera House in maybe 1988. Totally entertaining and for sheer breathtaking awe - Paul simon with ladysmith black Mambazo Sydney 1990 I think... amazing musicians and gorgeous voices, could have listened to them for hours.
