I just can't stand listening to a commentator comment on a game featuring a club that he's affiliated with.
Dunstall commentating hawthorn games, Roosy commentating swans games. I mean come on.
Ever watched AFL insider? Cool, you get to see dunstall break down hawthorn, Kingy break down north melbourne and Lynchy break down Lions on a weekly basis. Sorry fox footy but i don't give a sh*t.
Annoys the f**k out of me.

On The Couch and AFL 360 are the best footy shows at the moment.AFL 360 makes me cringe..I can't watch it! Robbo and Wheatley make me want hurl my dinner! I always like Jacko as a boundary rider...he makes me laugh with all the times he gets confused! Bless his little heart
Will our game be commentated by channel 7 or Fox? Every final is on both channels but I'm not sure which channel will be hosting?

Our games on sunday so it could very well be Bruce and Dennis.. or unfortunately Dwayno.
Better then watching Jason dunstall host his own Hawthorn v Collingwood finals pump up show on fox footy. Lets go from one hawthorn great in Dunstall go down to the boundary for his UNBIASED opinion from another Hawthorn great in Dermit.
Get me a bucket. I'd rather listen to Jacko splutter through a sentence on the boundary then that.

Well it wont be Darcy I think, him and Taylor have a Geelong love in planned for Sat night judging by the ads. So if its Hame and Basil doing the Crows/Syd game tomorrow that would leave Bruce and Dennis flying over here.

ABC Radio is far and away the best. I was unfortunate enough to listen to about a minute of MMM and heard them say they were the highest rating radio broadcast.
Doesn't say a lot for the general intelligence of footy listeners.

Anyone occasionally watch say baseball or the like where they seem to have a commentary team with each side? Probably not feasable here and it may just be me not knowing that much about the games /sides but they are so much more proffesional either way. Look ahead to the next broadcast deal, possible that clubs could onsell their own broadcast packages online?

You missed out on the beaut of BT tonight. Every single time Krak went near the ball, he morphed into the 'MCG Specialist'.
Don't even know where that has spawned from? Considering Collingwood play 99% of their games at the 'G, i'd say most of their players are 'specialists' of the ground. Whatever that means.

Whenever i dont get to watch the game or listen on radio the Team on ABC grandstand are awesome. I like their commentary. Their knowledge is excellent most of the time.
On TV its Hudson for me by a bit. Then dennis and bruce probably. Loved mick for special comments for collingwood games. TBH overall the commentating is a disgrace people like brereton, darcy and dunstall are penis balls.

As for some other posters on this board who still like Dennis Commetti - when will west aussies wake up to the fact Commetti is shit?
he is just try-hard comedian who rehearses one-liners and then desperately looks for an excuse to insert them.
he is a puppet who panders to East Coast viewers.
he would rather have a leisurely discussion about things NOT happening on the field rather than call the play.
Seriously, this bloke might have been a good commentator in the 90's, but he is well past it now, as is Bruce.
Disgrace that channel 7 pick BT over Huddo for a final though. Complete injustice for fans who cant get to the game.
Maybe BT was selected over Huddo because he actually works for channel 7 and not Fox.

Watching the premier league. None of this half time blab that we see from the AFL gameday media, the british commentators piss off for a break, and during the game just call the action.
The AFL guys need to realise, we don't give a shit about what their opinion is, call the game or GTFO.
Problem is too many ex players with agendas.

Mckenzie played brilliantly on cloke but received next to no praise and late in th second quarter when cloke had all of three possessions some ****wit makes h comment that emac looks worried every time te ball is in his vicinity
Dawes barely touches it but is doing a great job keeping glass accountable
Kerr continually puts his head over the ball, gets smashed but still wins a clearance but is barely mentioned
Ball clearly crosses the goal line but it's somehow a controversial decision
I swear if the scoreline wasn't in the top corner of the screen I would have thought we were eight goals down based on the way the commentators were describing the game
